Malachi stood on the Bridge of the Seven, extremely frustrated. As soon as the conflict had broken out he had been beamed back over to his vessel without his authorisation. It was a new security implementation that he had forgotten about. If and when the CO of a particular vessel, in this case Malachi of the Seven, was within a 100km distance of weapons fire and or some sort of explosion, they would immediately be transported to a safe distance. This time, it was the Bridge of the Seven. As soon as he had rematerialized on deck, the Ship automatically raised the Sheilds and began a secure lockdown.
In Caspian's opinion, Starfleet had become over paranoid and as soon as he figured out how to, that particular program would be deactivated.
"What is the status of DSB?" He said, asking no one in particular. All had been silent since the decloaking of the Vorta vessels and he felt he should break the silence.
"They have yet to show any signs that they are preparing for a conflict." Came the response.
"They won't." Malachi said. "Kirk's in Command." He sighed. "If he won't do anything then I will." He turned round and accessed the Command Station, another thing that he planned to get rid of, it was instead of a centre chair. He wasn't impressed. "Prepare to release docking clamps." He said, entering in his Security Code. "Battle Stations."
Within two minutes of the Seven switching from Yellow to Red Alert, one of the Vorta vessels had broken away and headed from the civillian sector to the Seven's location off Port 3 Section A.
"They are hailing."
"On forward viewer." He said, straightening his uniform jacket.
=^= Stand down, or your vessel will also be fired upon. Our quarrel is with Kirk of Starfleet, not all of you =^=
"I am afraid that it doesn't work like that Commander...?"
=^= Commander Yarna =^= The man finished.
"Quite... Well, as much as I don't want to protect his ass, I am afraid I really must. Please withdraw within five minutes or I will open fire."
=^= Please, you are one vessel... =^= Malachi sharply pressed a button on his console, closing the channel.
"Weapons prepped and ready Sir."
"Move to intercept." Caspian ordered.

OOC jeez, i can only be in one place at a time
=^=Lt. Hall to Commander Daya=^=
=^= Daya here, go ahead=^=
=^= Charlie team has been routed sir, and Captain Church was stabbed, McClean's fingerprints are all over the knife, the doctors are working on Church now.=^=
=^= find anything and everything, arrest McClean and hold him until i get there. anything else?=^=
=^= Yes sir, a marine AI suit was laying on the ground, a part of the shin guard was broken off=^=
=^= Handle as much of it as possible, tag and bag everything, and leave it in the armory, i'll get to it=^=
Daya was outside the bridge, walking briskly towards it. Kirk had returned and Daya felt the need to confront him.
When he entered he saw station security trying to arrest Kirk, while he spoke with Dominion ships. "Stop all communications, right now." he said to the those on the bridge. "Stand down" he yelled at the security team, as Kirk turned around. "What the hell are you doing?" He asked.
"Trying to sort some shit out in a matter of two seconds, now before i arrest you, shut up" Kirk's face turned to shock, and Daya stared, a bit surprised with himself.
The klingon warrior next to him made a move towards Daya, but Daya simply held up his phaser, and Kirk stopped the Klingon.
Taking a deep breath, he sighed. "Ok, you guys, leave" He said pointed at the security, who grudgeingly lowered their weapons and left. "Kirk, i know you didnt kill the Gorn ambassador, i have his replacement in the brig for the time being, It would appear we have had some problems through out the ship with a few of the marine recuits, half of which are now dead. Captain Church is in surgery, from a knife wound. McCleans fingerprints are all of that knife, but i dont think he did it anyway." Daya went on to explain the rest of what has been happening, and tieing most of it together. "Now that we have all that sorted out, you may continue" He said as he took another breath and sat down at the tactical station, keeping the shields down and weapons off. "Whenever your ready" he said as he turned the view screen back on, showing the face of the dominion commander

Kirk looked around at his fellow officers and fought hard to clear his thoughts. There was too many things going on all at once for anybody to seem to grab a hold of the situation. Political assassinations, Marines killing each other, with the evidence pointing toward most of the main senior officers on board DSB.
"This can't be a coincidence," Kirk said, "The Gorn come here looking to talk peace, things get out of hand on the station and the Dominion come out of left field saying they are here to aid the Gorn. This has to be a set up.
The faces of the other officers seemed to reveal the same idea on the situation. The problem was simple, the Federation was well over reaching itself by moving into the Beta Quadrant. With out the aid and supplies from the Klingon's DSB would have never been built. The Dominion are a Gama Quadrant society who had a nack for picking up allies just before or during the start of a galactic conflict.
"I need to see the Gorn Ambassador." Kirk said to Daya.
"He's being held in brig. I think it would be best if I escorted you down to see him." Daya replied.
"Good idea." Kirk said following his long time friend off the Command Deck.
The journey to the brig was long and tense. Kirk walked quietly trying to think of what he would say when he came face to face with a Gorn for the first time. Looking to his left Kirk took a quick glance at Daya, he seemed to be handling the situation much better than Kirk; but Daya wasn't facing assassination charges.
The door to the brig slid open and Daya quickly excused the two security officers. Kirk walked up to the force field and watched as the Gorn Ambassador slowly rose to his feet.
"Your in a pretty sticky situation." Kirk said.
"As are you. It's not every day that I stand behind a prison while a murder walks freely." GorHak replied.
"We found the real assassin," Kirk said as he started to pace, "It's a changeling, more specifically a Founder." Kirk finished hoping not to blow his bluff.
"What exactly is a Founder?" GorHak replied.
"I know your allied with the Dominion. I have got three Breen battleships sitting right outside my front door waiting to open fire," Kirk paused and stopped in his tracks, "You killed one of my Marine officers for no reason. In my book I say the negotiations are over."
"I would agree."
"I have one last thing to negotiate with you though. You killed my officer, sent an agent over here to frame me for killing the real Gorn Ambassador. In the name of Galactic peace I am willing to drop the charges against you if you agree to confess to sending in your agent and drop the charges against me."
"I will do no such thing. You are a murder and a liar."
"I will not be leaving this station and with the evidence I have in my possession the Federation will back me. We have already defeated the Dominion once, we can do it again."
Kirk words seem to have struck a cord with GorHak as he began to pace in his cell. Kirk began to feel as if he was making some headway in the matter.
"I must speak to the Vorta in charge of the Breen fleet."
"My deal is with you and you alone. Take it now before I walk out this door," Kirk said, "You will not get another chance like this again."
"I will agree to your terms." GorHak hissed.
"Commander Daya, please draw up the proper confession forms and escort the Ambassador here to transporter room one once he has signed them."

With in the hour of the signed confession GorHak stood on the Command Deck along side Admiral Kirk, facing the main view screen they waited for the hail to be answered.
"Admiral, the Federation seems to not understand the meaning of the world law." The Vorta officer commented.
"We understand the law just find, but I have somebody here who dropped the charges against me." Kirk replied.
"Nobody has that authority."
"Nobody except me." GorHak said stepping into view.
"Why have you done this?"
"I do not answer to you." GorHak fired back.
"Then there is no further need for our presence." The Vorta said closing the channel.
GorHak turned to face Kirk letting his long white teeth show.
"We can still discuss talks of peace between us." Kirk said hoping to get some good out of this day.
"There shall be no talks," GorHak replied tapping his communicator, "Energize."
With in seconds GorHak was beamed off the station and back to his ship. Kirk watched the sensors as the Dominion ships escorted the Gorn Battleship away from DSB and into warp.
"One problem down." Kirk said.

After the immediate threat was gone, the Marines had all returned to Sickbay, where Church lay, still unconcious. The CMO seemed happy about something.
"So far," she began, "we had not been able to tell why he was in a coma, and we'd run the drug tests... but aparently, we missed something. Naturally, after he was stabbed, we checked to see if the dagger was poisoned, and it wasn't - but there was already trace ammounts of something in Captain Church's blood. It probably wouldn't have killed him, but its a good thing we found it. After clearing that out of his system and fixing his wound - we nearly lost him there - we gave him a sedative. I think he should rest another few hours before you wake him up."
Several Marines started protesting at this notion, and the CMO held up her hands in surrender. "All right, I'll wake him up. Good Lord, you people are so impatient..." She administered a hypospray, and moved away as the Marines pressed closer.
Church's eyes open and closed very quickly, and then his right hand moved slightly. With a small groan he opened his eyes, squinting.
"Where... where's Hayes?: mumbled Church.
"He's been detained," said Weta. "Can you tell us what happened?"
The CMO protested against questioning Church at the moment, and Fish was inclined to agree with letting him rest, but she also wanted to hear Hayes was guilty. Dvinski gently but firmly pushed the CMO away.
Church shook his head, but that hurt so he stopped. "He and Rorgel attacked me... I thought he shot me." He paused, thinking. "I killed Rorgel, but then Hayes had a gun and I didn't. What happened?"
"A couple officers stumbled across you and stunned Hayes," explained Fish. "We'll have Hayes court-martialed very soon. But Weta thinks we have a bigger problem on our hands."
"Someone tried to assassinate you while you were in a coma," explained Weta. "They stunned me, but then messed up the job. I'm still amazed you are not dead."
Church nearly sat up when he heard that. If someone had gotten past Weta, they were much more dangerous than Hayes. Unless...
"Were they hired by Hayes?" asked Church.
"I doubt it," said Weta. "Hayes was one of the first to be taken out when the assassin - in Caboose's armour - got here. The stun needle is still bothering him, actually." Everyone smiled at that.
"What about Caboose?" asked Church, realising the man wasn't there.
"We found him stuffed away in a closet with this little thing," said Fish, holding up the AI chip. "Its name is 'Reynolds' and it seems to be a bit insane, which is odd considering its an AI chip."
Church laughed. "Trust me, those AI chips are all crazy. And Caboose?"
"Is busy explaining eveything he can to security. He's not guilty of anything."
The CMO forced her way to Church with another sedative. "You've had enough time," she snapped. "Now run along, and don't come back until tomorrow!"
Church laughed. "I'll be up in no time. Anything I need to know?" The hypospray pressed against his neck.
"We almost get into a fight with the Gorn, Breen, and the Dominion... but nothing important happened."
Church's vision began tp blur. "Oh, Cap? There's, um, something you should know. Your hand...well, Hayes..."
Church looked down as the sedative took full effect and thought he saw a glimmer of metal on his hand...
*********************************************
"I'm innocent!" roared Hayes as security took him away. "Innocent, I tell you! Get your filthy hands off me! My father-"
"Has recently resigned," snarled Fish as security tossed the man in the departing shuttle. "Goodbye, Martin Hayes."
The man struggled against his bonds, a force field errected between him and the pilot. He growled, snarled, and threw himself against the force field, but remained imprisoned. "I'll kill you!" he shouted as the doors closed. Fish didn't envy the pilot. "I'll kill you, Williams!" Hayes howled.
The shuttle took off, and Fish turned away, glad he was gone.
*********************************************
Later that day, Caboose and McLean were released from security. Both had been treated very kindly, and had only been confined to quarters as a formality. Fish stood in front of Smith, who was seated at his desk.
"... and that is the end of Hayes. He'll be officially tried, and then put in a brig for the rest of his life, with possibility of parole in thirty years," finished Williams. "So we need two Marines to replace Rorgel and Hayes, one to replace Steiner, and one to replace..."
Smith nodded. "Erblend. I'm sorry to hear about him. And Steiner too."
"We'd appreciate a nicer batch, if you could mannage..."
"Of course," Smith assured her. "It would be hard to find any as bad as Hayes and Rorgel, or as unstable as Steiner, from what I've heard. Anything else?"
"I'm in temporary command until Church gets released from Sickbay, and then he'll not be at peak performance for a while, but there's nothing else you need to worry about. Thank you, Commander."
Smith smiled. "Its nothing. I'll see you later, Lt. Dismissed."

Kirk watched as the Dominion ships finally vanished from sensor range. He breathed a sigh of relief before turning to face General Ko'Vor.
"General, in light of these new events I request permission to deploy your house's fleet on defensive patrols in this sector." Kirk said.
<Tag Ko'Vor>
Kirk and Ko'Vor finished the conversation and quickly turned to the Operations Officer still on duty.
"Ensign, please open a channel to Admiral Caspian."
"Channel open sir."
"Admiral." Caspian said.
"Admiral, I am sending out General Ko'Vor and his house's fleet on cloaked patrol missions in this sector. I am requesting that your ship join them and place those new cloaked long range sensors at the edge of this sector to help warn of any future problems."

"Lieutenant, you have the Command Deck." Kirk said to the Tactical officer as he walked into his office. Sitting down at his deck Kirk began his report to Starfleet Command.
"Computer, begin recording," Kirk waited for the chime to let him know the recording had begun.
This is Admiral Kirk, Commanding officer of Deep Space Beta. In the last 24 hours we have run into more problems with native beings of the Beta Quadrant. The Gorn Empire was supposed to come to this station for peace talks, but the talks ended before they could even begin.
The Ambassador's second in command arranged for the Ambassador to be assassinated on this station buy a being we are still unable to locate. We fear though that its a Founder. My suspicions were confirmed when three Breen battleships decloaked, these battle ships were commanded by Vorta Commanders.
I fear the Dominion is spreading again, sending out its long reaching arms into the Beta Quadrant to make new allies. I request a fleet of short range starships be sent to this sector as added protection.
End Report.
"Computer, please send this report to Admiral Janeway at Starfleet Command, priority one."

"Commander Smith could you please report to my office?" Kirk said over the Com channel.
"Understood, Admiral on my way there now," Lorian resopnded as he quickened his pace. Things had been so hectic recently that things that he would of normally done were not being done. Writing his daily reports was something that he had neglected to do for the last weeks and now that he finally had decided to start doing them, this happened.
Life is always unpredictable isn't it, Lorian thought to himself. The Gorn Empire's military had just gone to full readiness and the Dominion have finally reappeared. Things were getting worse every hour and Lorian didn't know how to stop the downward spiral.
"Lt. where is the Fleet Admiral?" Lorian asked as he reached the command area.
"He's in his weekend, sir," was the response from the Lt. Lorian thanked him and entered his friends office. Jonathan Kirk was not the same person that he had met months ago, it seemed that both of them had aged years in a matter of weeks, but right now their was nothing that they could do about it.
"Admiral, what can I do for you?" Lorian asked hoping that what ever it may be he could help his friend out.

"HAHAHA well Admiral....." Ko'Vor paused to laugh a little longer.
"why are you laughing general?" Kirk asked. Ko'Vor stopped and looked at him...
"Ko'Vor to Metta. um. activate Plan Beta". Kirk looked confused and so Ko'Vor just pointed at the sensor grid in his office. Moments later 8 blimps appeared from no where, all uncloaked Kut'Kill class ships, all in defensive positions around the station and the other Starfleet ships.
"well thats annoying.... the whole fleet should be here, Ko'Vor to metta, where are the other 25 ships?"
"They are all still being diverted from there previous positions."
"never mind then, have them set up positions in 2's all around the sector. Ko'Vor out"
Ko'Vor turned back to Kirk and smiled, waiting for a response. "of course you can count on my ships sir" he added.

"Admiral, what can I do for you?" Lorian asked hoping that what ever it may be he could help his friend out.
"Lorian I am going to be blunt about this," Kirk said leaning back in his chair, "We need the Darkhawk up and running again. I don't like having one of the more advanced Federation warship sitting in dry dock while the Breen sneak in."
Kirk stood up from his chair and walked over to the window in his office. Looking out at the planet of Metoria Kirk had an idea.
"We need a new way of detecting cloaked ships in the area, this last encounter with the Breen just showed us that the Dominion have developed a new type of cloak that our sensors cannot pick up. I want you to get McLean, his engineering team and the science people working on this problem. I know McLean is going to want to oversee the repairs to the Darkhawk, but I want you to handle that."
Turning around to face Commander Smith, Kirk began to walk toward his friend, "I need to get a hold of Metrel."
Walking past Smith, Kirk walked onto the Command Deck. It was just as busy as it always was this time of day.
"Ensign, open a channel to Metrel on the Metoria home world." Kirk ordered.
"Aye sir."
"Send it to my office."
Kirk rushed back into his office letting Commander Smith decide if he wanted to join in the conversation or get started on the other items on Kirk's agenda. Sitting down at his deck Kirk watched his screen blink.
"What can I do for your Admiral?" Metrel asked.
"I have a favor to ask of you." Kirk replied.
"Do you now..."
"Yes, I would like to set up a meeting with you as soon as possible."
"I will arrange the meeting and contact you when I am ready for you."
"Thank you." Kirk said as the screen turned off.

Church was still shocked when he looked at his hand. It worked all right, but it felt so alien, so wrong. It did not fit like a glove at all. The CMO said it was psychological, but hadn't been very helpful in telling Church how to get rid of the odd feeling every time he looked at it.
"They're releasing you later today," said Fish, who sat next to him. "I talked them into it."
Church nodded. He'd been there a long time and was ready to get back to training. "Thank you."
There was an awkward silence. Then Fish stood up, looking around as if for help on what to do next. "I... I, um, should be going," she said, heading towards the door. "I'll be back later."
Again, Church nodded. " 'Bye, Fish."
She waved and left, leaving Church alone again. He hated sitting here in Sickbay, with no one but himself and that weird hand of his. He tried to calm himself, but that didn't work. There was nothing to do, and he felt he would go insane if he stayed in that bed much longer. If only he could get the CMO to let him out...
*********************************************
Weta and Dvinski had swept the base and not found a single trace of Church's attacker. They had looked in at Togg's bar and found the Ferengi to have several illegal items, which had been disposed of. But Weta was still searching for the assassin, and he was frustrated at not being successful.
"Perhaps he is gone," said Dvinski. "He might have ran away, and maybe he thinks he will come back later."
Weta nodded. "A possibility. But when the new Marines get here, they will help me turn this place upside down. Again."
Dvinski saw he couldn't convince his friend otherwise and fell into silence. The two were walking casually (for them - to all observers, they had 'military' written all over) through the civilian area, looking for anyone that looked remotely like a criminal and interrogating them. Not a very effective way of doing things, but there wasn't much else they could do.
A couple hours later, Fish told them to knock it off. She said it would give Starfleet a bad name if Weta and Dvinski kept questioning random people, giving them intimidating stares, and she was probably right. The two slunk back to their quarters, disappointed as ever.

McLean was happy to have been released by security. Although he got into a fight with Captain Church doesn't mean he was out to kill the man. He had to look at the facts, there was a fight, then out of no where Church is attacked and almost killed. Not hard to pin the attacker on somebody who just got in a fight with him the day before, McLean thought to himself.
McLean could feel things were different now that Stephanie was gone, he actually didn't want to go home. He felt as if he couldn't face his children, like it was his fault for their mother dying. McLean stopped outside his quarters, his hands balled up in a fist, his heart pounding almost through his chest as he gained up the courage to face his children.
The door slid open as McLean walked into a quiet and surprisingly empty household. As he walked he saw the tell tale signs that his children had been around the place all day long. Walking through the main living room McLean passed several boy toys laid out on the ground along side a few girls toys.
"Maybe the councilor was here today." McLean said to himself.
Stopping dead in his tracks McLean looked down the hall way, his bedroom seemed miles away, tears began to well up in his eyes. Besides sleeping alone on the Darkhawk, McLean hadn't spent very many nights alone and the thought that he would never sleep with Stephanie beside him again brought him to tears.
McLean quietly poked his head into the kids rooms, both were asleep already. It's been a long day, McLean thought as he finally made his way to his room. Dropping to the bed as if he was dead weight McLean closed his eyes and to his surprise fell asleep with little effort.

"Send it to my office."
Lorian wanted to be in the meeting between the two, but he knew that this was not the time. He had to get things moving and the sooner the better.
"Ensign where is Commmander McLean?" Lorian asked getting some of his things ready.
"He's in his quarters, sir," was the response from the young ensign.
"Okay, I want you to send him a message for 0700 hours, I will be holding a meeting in the Darkhawk at that time," Lorian said as he left the command area and headed towards the Darkhawk.

"High Chancellor we are being hailed by Fleet Admiral Kirk."
It surprised Metrel to hear that his friend and counterpart FA Kirk was hailing him. It was made obvious the last time they spoke that as of now the Federation didn't want the Metron Consortium's help and Metrel granted there wish.
"Chancellor are we going to respond?"
"Yes put him through," Metrel said and the next moment Kirk's face appeared,"What can I do for your Admiral?"
"I have a favor to ask of you." Kirk replied.
"Do you now..."
"Yes, I would like to set up a meeting with you as soon as possible."
"I will arrange the meeting and contact you when I am ready for you."
"Thank you." Kirk said.
Metrel of course knew what had just happened on DSB a few hours ago. In fact he had seen it coming, but he had kept his word and stayed away from Starfleet's business.
Metrel of course had dealt with the Breen before and knew them as strong and dangerous people, but they also knew that if they endangered any of his people he would take things into his hands.
"Chancellor should we help them?" an aide asked," they refused your gracious help the first time, we have other things to worry about."
"Your right, there are other pressing matters that are at hand, but without him we will loose," Metrel said irritated that he once again had to defend his actions. It seemed that Starfleets refusal to accept Metrel's help caused others in his government to question everything he did.
"Get me the admiral," Metrel said standing up.
"Chancellor, I hope that the speedy decision is a sign of friendship and mutual understanding," Kirk responded trying to be as diplomatic as possible.
"Admiral I will see you in two hours here at my palace," Metrel said," please be at the designated location." Metrel then cut the link and went back to work.

Captain Church,
We are currently unable to add to your compliment of Marines at this time. Your loss of Mr. Steiner, Mr. Rorgel, and Mr. Erblend is rather disappointing. While Mr. Rorgel and Mr. Hayes have been found guilty, and Mr. Steiner's medical records have been found to contain errors, the death of Mr. Erblend has not been excused by variables beyond your control, and as such you will not recieve additional personel for an unspecified period of time, during which we will investigate your ability to command and whether your actions thus far as Senior Marine on the USS Darkhawk have been justified. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.
Sincerely, The Marine High Command, Starfleed Headquarters
Fish threw down the PADD in anger. It had been delivered to Church while he was sleeping, and she had grabbed it before he could see it. If anyone from the high and mighty Marine High Command showed up, they'd be very sorry they'ed ever signed that damned note...
She sighed wearily. Church had not mentioned some of the politics involved while running the Marine department. Weekly reports to Commander Smith, monthly reports to the very people who had just more or less accused him of being incompetant, and scheduling and creating training exercises every evening for the following morning. And there were senior staff meetings, but thankfully there hadn't been any of those since Church had been hospitalised.
Fish put the PADD in her closet, determined to settle this problem with the Marine High Command on her own. She didn't need Smith or Daya to help her - they were already very busy, and probably couldn't do anything about the problem anyway. She was sitting down with her own, blank PADD, wondering how to respond, when the door chimed.
"Come," she said, looking up. Church entered, and she put the PADD down, glad nothing had been written yet. "They let you out?" she asked, her mood lighter than it just had been.
"Yeah, they were complaining about you and Weta and everyone else getting in the way of there work," replied Church, grinning. "Apparently, we are even worse than security." His gaze shifted to the empty PADD. "What are you working on?"
"Oh... um, just the weekly report to Commander Smith. I thought maybe you could use a break," said Fish, hoping her front was convincing enough.
"Crap. I forgot about that. I should go-"
"You've been in Sickbay most of the time," argued Fish. "I'll take care of it."
"If you really want to bore yourself to death, then go for it," said Church, giving up.
Fish smiled. "It can't be that bad. I know you've always been trying to fool the rest of us into thinking you were wokring really hard."
Church waved his hands and said, "You're right. I-" but he faltered, doing a double take as he saw his artificial hand. He stared at it a moment, then looked away, alll traces of humor gone. Fish wondered why the doctors hadn't made it look more realistic, as opposed to the blue-white metal that covered it now.
Church looked embaressed. "I'll, um, be... be going now," he stammered, backing out the door.
Fish called after him and started towards the door, but he was gone before she could catch him. She stood there for a while before returning to her seat. After contacting the counsellor and reciting Church's odd response to seeing his new hand, she returned to the empty PADD. But her focus was gone, and she wasn't able to accomplish anything. She tossed the PADD to the floor and held her head in her hands, wondering how long it would take the Marines, and Church in particular, to recover from the latest problems.
********************************************* Starfleet HQ, Administrative Marine Staff
"Field Marshall Sa'Valk," said General Delphi, "I find Captain Church to be free from any guilt whatsoever. Frankly, I'm amazed he only suffered one realy casualty. Considering the Gorn attacked with almost no warning at all, and he had many problems with dangerous officers that shouldn't have been in Starfleet to begin with, I'd say he shouldn't have charges pressed against him. I have also just been informed that he was only a couple hours ago released from Sickbay, with an artificial hand. He's suffered more than enough for dealing with the dregs of our division Gneral Mordoc gave him."
"That is most certainly not true!" argued the other human, his face red. "General Delphi just wants you to ship what surplus troops you have to his soldiers, not mine, where they are needed!"
"I hardly think the Cardassian-Federation boarder is our primary concern," shot back Delphi. "Standard Federation ships, mostly Akira and Galaxy class, have been deployed there."
"I also need to worry about the Breen," growled Mordoc. "So far, all you have encountered that presents a serious threat-"
"-are the Borg, and now the Gorn, the Dominion, and the Breen!" shouted Delphi. "Have you seen the latest reports from Beta?"
Field Marshall Sa'Valk raised his vulcan hand to silence the two. "Gentlemen, I understand you both require more men. However, General Delphi's need is more desparate at this time. I will send Captain Church five additional soldiers, and Captain Fremen two additional soldiers. Is there anything else?"
"Yes," said Mordoc, smiling. "Captain Fremen's promotion has been cleared, and he has requested command of Beta."
"But Beta already has a competent Senior Marine," said the Field Marshall. "I will deny the official request."
"What about Captain Church? He is not capable of commanding his men, according to the reports from Sickbay. Captain - I should say, Major - Fremen should take his place," said Mordoc.
"Lt. Williams, Church's XO, is perfectly capable of command while he recovers," argued Delphi.
Politics are the worst enemy of the Federation, thought Sa'Valk. Aloud, he said, "We will all monitor Captain Church and Lt. Williams, and if they show signs of failure, Captain Fremen will take over the Darkhawk's Marine department." Both Generals nodded in agreement, glaring at each other. "Are we finished?"
"Actually," said Mordoc, "Col. Yk'Loi Rellim requires a new type-15 Delta assault shuttle..."
The conversation continued for quite some time.

OOC: Sorry guys I had no idea you were all waiting on me!
"Admiral I will see you in two hours here at my palace," Metrel said," please be at the designated location." Metrel then cut the link and went back to work.
Kirk smiled after the transmission had been cut. He would never say it out loud but Kirk was becoming more fond of the Metron leader. They had a shaky introduction but it seemed with the passing of time that Metrel might become more flexible with the Federation.
"Sir, we are receiving a text only hail coming from the Metron planet."
"Put it thought." Kirk replied.
The console in front of Kirk beeped as the message come up. It was the place Kirk was to meet Metrel. Pulling up a world map of the Metron home world Kirk located the coordinates. It pointed to a isolated area of the worlds Capitol city, probably Metrel's personal residence, Kirk thought.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 hours later
Kirk beamed down and found himself in a wondrous place. It wasn't anything like what he had seen in the Metron's flagship, it was almost roman. When Kirk first met Metrel he thought that his appearance had looked familiar and now at least he could put an era to what he first noticed.
"This way if you please." Kirk head from behind him.
Kirk followed the guard up to a large estate that continued the Roman look with large pillars towering in the front of the massive building.
"Remove your communication badge before you enter."
Kirk looked first at the guard than at his COM badge before removing it and placing it on a silver plate the guard had pulled out. The guard then nodded and stepped aside so Kirk could pass.
Walking into the massive building Kirk first noticed it was rather spacious with guards standing at ten foot intervals on the outside of the estate. If Kirk hadn't know better he would have thought he had gone back in time.
"This way Admiral." Kirk heard Metrel's voice behind him.
Straighting his jack Kirk began to walk briskly toward Metrel. He was feeling a bit silly for looking around the massive building. He felt small inside this estate and Kirk knew Metrel or whoever had built this building that was the intention of it, to intimidate all who entered.
"Thank you for having me." Kirk said.
"It is my pleasure." Metrel replied.
Kirk was almost at a loss of words, Metrel had never talked to him like this before, he had always been superior sounding.
"I have been thinking about what we had talked about a few weeks back." Kirk began.
"About what?" Metrel said sounding uninterested.
"About allowing Federation citizens to reside on Metroia. I think it would be in the best interest of peace and cooperation to allow this." Kirk said hoping he didn't come off sounding too willing to agree.
"This certainly is a shock." Metrel said gazing off in the distance, "I know what you want from me."
"Excuse me?" Kirk said.
"You want my technology. You were unable to detect the Breen warships until they decloaked directly in front of your station."
"How did you know that?" Kirk asked sounding surprised.
"Admiral, you seem to fail to realize that we are hundreds of years more advanced than you are. Our sensor technology is far beyond your grasp at this point."
Kirk could feel the superior attitude starting to rise up out of Metrel's body.
"Your right, but we both need something here. You need the Federation to commit to staying here while your society repairs itself from the damage you have caused on yourself. We on the other hand need to be able to locate any cloaked ship heading this way. Would you have stood by and watched if the Borg were the ones who decloaked?"
