"Ambassador Metrel, Your demands are practically impossible to keep. I am sure myself and General Ko'Vor will be happy to beam over, however, Captain Kirk is currently in Sickbay fighting for his life and Commander Ikar is dead, his body is currently being autopsied."
This news pleased Metrel, but the law was the law and he would not bend it not even for someone he considered a friend.
"Captain Kirk is excused from these meetings, but I still want the body of Ikar, I have to make sure he is dead," Metrel said.
"I'm sorry Chancellor, but..." Caspain was about to say.
"Captain this is final," Metrel said as he closed all communications.
"Get me the fleet," Metrel said.
"I will once again be going into talks with these savages, yet I hope for their to be peace," Metrel started saying," so that said no one is to fire on any other ship without my order."
"Chancellor you must reconsider, these things have proved they are not ready for true peace," Cylia said," they have killed our brothers and sisters, we cannot let them live."
"I know Cylia, but I trust Captain Caspain and Captain Kirk and as long as am in power we will push for peace," Metrel said.
"Then as entitled to us as citizens of the Consortium we demand for the body of the person who started this," Cylia said which was instantly meeted with agreement from everyone else.
"Okay if that is what you wish," Metrel said as he touched the panel on his chair. The Destiny's scanner automatically found the Commander's body and transported it to the Destiny.
"There it is done," Metrel said as he walked away from everyone on the bridge. Metrel hated the man that was Ikar, but he never ever intended to disgrace the body of the dead.
"Chancellor, they are ready," Farn told Metrel.
"Okay," Metrel said as he walked toward the transport controls. "Tell them that they will be transported in ten seconds."
"Understood," Farn said. Metrel felt his body dematerilized and the next moment he was at the meeting place where he had talked to Captain Kirk and Doctor Fenel. Three seconds later two Klingons and Captain Caspain materalized there.
"Sit down, now."

Ko'Vor felt himself and all his matter breaking down as he was teleported by the metrons. Somehow it felt different than a klingon transporter... more intensive. in any case Ko'Vor didn’t enjoy the sensation.
as he boarded the metron vessel he took a moment to look around, the room was as it was before, unaffected by battle. if i had targeted this ship it may have looked different' Ko'Vor thought to himself. He was glad he had showed the klingons wouldn’t stand bye any more. the klingons had proven there strength and now they could move forward in the ways of piece.
Joining him was his brother, looking rather tattered. and captain caspain who looked flustered. Ko'Vor of course also knew he looked like death but he didn’t care.
'Metrel, it is good to see you again. under different circumstances I may be better dressed....' Ko'Vor smiled at his own wit, no one else did however.
he continued. 'I apologise for what happened here, i assure you the Assin fleet and klingon command had not has this in mind. i am assured my brother was here to make negotiations not war.'
Ko'Vor decided to stop talking at that point. Not knowing what Metrel wanted he didn’t want to force any issues. His brother also remained silent. It was Metrel or Caspain who they would allow to make the first moves.

Fenel was heading to the Command Deck with the aid of an ensign when the Morgue's EMH contacted her.
=A=Doctor, I was collecting tissue sampled when the Commander's body was beamed out of the morgue.=A=
Fenel swore. =A=Where did it go!?=A=
=A=unknown, the beam was one I do not recougnise, perhaps it was the Metrons.=A= The Hologram replied.
=A=How many more tests did you need to preform?=A= Fenel asked, she wanted to know which vulcan had preformed a mind meld with Ikar.
=A=Quite a few, I don't believe we can concure anything knew without the body.=A=
=A=I'll see if I can get it back, go and help the medical team with casualties.=A= Fenel replied. =A=Computer locate Captain Caspian.=A=
=A= Captain Caspian is not on board=A=
"Take me to the command deck, I need to speak with High Chancellor Metral" Fenel instructed, and felt the ensign's hand on her arm once again.
The command deck sounded busy, and twice Fenel treaded on someone's foot. "Who's in charge here!" she yelled out.
"I am, Lieutenat Crusher." she heard a male voice call out.
Fenel headed toward him "I need to speak with the Metron high chancellor, either beam me down to the planet or call him up on the screen."
"I'll beam you down, should your aid go as well?" The Lieutenant asked.
Fenel wasn't entirely sure who it was who had helped her to the deck. "I don't believe she has authorization... Ensign..."
"Tellel, I transferred here from the acadamy a few days ago." The young women replied. "I don't have authorization."
"Taht's alright, beam me down." Fenel ordered. She felt the familiar tingling effect before sensing a change in temperture and humidity.
"What are you doing here!" A Metron cired out.
"I must speak with your leader, he is meeting with my captain, please take me there. As you can see I mean none of you harm." Fenel replied.
The Metron led Fenel by the shoulder into another room "High Chancellor, this Federation Doctor insisted on speaking with you."

OCC: Just for further notice, the secret base is protected by a special shield that will not allow anyone but me to transport people in or out of the base. But doctor if you promise to take good care of the Beta crew I will let this pass. On: "High Chancellor, this Federation Doctor insisted on speaking with you."
"That is not of my concern," Metrel said as he waved his hand for the Metron to leave the meeting chamber. This was an unwanted distraction, but it seemed to have gotten everyone talking.
"High Chancellor Metrel as official representative for the United Federation of Planets I would like to apologize for what happened today," Caspian said honestly.
"Captain I believe in your word, but that does not change what happened," Metrel said," I was forced to kill living people who were brought into this battle because of a mad man. A mad man that was put in power by your government Captain."
<Tag Caspian>
"That also doesn't excuse what the Klingons did, but to be honest I understand their reactions," Metrel said for the first time giving the Klingon's credit," they did not start this battle, but in there rage they attacked us."
<Tag Ko'Vor>
Metrel for the first time believed that he was finally getting somewhere with the Klingon's and the Federation.
"There is still a major problem Captain, General," Metrel said," that is your military force in our space."
<Tag Ko'Vor, Caspian>
Even though Metrel hadn't said anything concrete yet Caspian, Ko'Vor, and who Metrel thought was Ko'Vor's brother were fighting what they new was to come.
"Quiet," Metrel said as he slammed his hand on the table,” we are a peaceful race when it comes to rational species, but this unprovoked attack has angered my people and if you want to prevent war you must concede to our conditions."
<Tag Ko'Vor, Caspian>
"The Klingon Empire has been our galactic neighbor for a very long time and we have shunned from making personal contact with them, something that I now realized was a mistake," Metrel said," if we had had closer ties this would of never of happened."
<Tag Ko'Vor>
"That being said, I have decided that the Assin Fleet and only the Assin Fleet will be allowed into our space," Metrel said," but we won't allow more than twenty ships in our space."
"What type of ships?" Ko'Vor's brother asked.
"Military ships," Metrel said," civilian ships will be protected by our ships, but they will all be scanned to make sure they don't break any of our laws."
<Tag Ko'Vor>
"Now to the Federation," Metrel said with a sigh,” to be honest I have had high hopes for you. The first meeting with Captain Jonathan Kirk showed us that your people had hope, but recent events have made people think that this is not the case.”
<Tag Caspian>
“That being said I still believe that the Federation is a worthy ally,” Metrel said,” the crew of the Darkhawk has made me believe that. But the Federation is still without reproach, so for that reason the Metron Consortium has decided to stop any further military advancement.”
“So what of Beta?” Caspian asked.
“Starbase Beta will be allowed to stay as long as the Federation honors the guidelines that myself and Captain Kirk had set,” Metrel responded.
<Tag Caspian>
“We will also limit the amount of ships that will be in our space,” Metrel said,” we think that the twenty ship limit will work as well.”
<Tag Caspian>
“We know that this will cause angry reactions with both of your governments so I have decided to offer something as well,” Metrel said.
“What is that?” Ko’Vor asked who seemed to be angrier every moment he was here.
“I will allow Metrona to be settled by both of your governments,” Metrel said.
“What are you saying Chancellor?” Caspian said as he perched his body forward.
“The planet of Metrona will be open for settlement for both of your governments, but with restrictions of course,” Metrel said.
<Tag Caspian, Ko’Vor>
“I recommend that you take this deal, because if you do not the Metron Consortium will take our revenge,” Metrel said as he transported the three men back to their ship.
“Guard allow the Federation Doctor to enter the chamber,” Metrel said as he quickly made everything disappear.

"That also doesn't excuse what the Klingons did, but to be honest I understand their reactions," Metrel said for the first time giving the Klingon's credit," they did not start this battle, but in there rage they attacked us."
'We attacked you due to a misunderstanding, we thought it was you that attacked us not the station. we thought this because we are allied with the federation and not you so why would they attack us? now though of course i realise our narrow minded vision in this matter and i apologise.'
Ko'Vor was trying to look for \my understanding in the metrons face, but was surprised when no emotion was shown at all.
"There is still a major problem Captain, General," Metrel said," that is your military force in our space."
'Our military force was my doing, i bought it here as a defence force, I assure you that my it was only intended for that purpose.'
Ko'Vors brother perked up too. 'You cant restrict the empire from roaming the galaxy!' 'Shut up' Ko'Vor said, he could see his brother about to say the wrong thing. 'But they want to ban our ships from there space!' 'No, brother, they haven’t said anything like that yet, listen and you may get further in life my foolish brother.' 'But brother' 'NO. lets see what metrel has to say first.' Suddenly realising the argument could be heard by everyone Ko'Vor turned back to Metrel.
"Quiet," Metrel said slamming his hand onto the table, ”we are a peaceful race when it comes to rational species, but this unprovoked attack has angered my people and if you want to prevent war you must concede to our conditions."
'We didn’t start the attack, why are you banning our ships?' "The Klingon Empire has been our galactic neighbour for a very long time and we have shunned from making personal contact with them, something that I now realized was a mistake," Metrel said," if we had had closer ties this would of never of happened."
'I agree, this was a foolish series of events, where do we go from here?'
"That being said, I have decided that the Assin Fleet and only the Assin Fleet will be allowed into our space," Metrel said," but we won't allow more than twenty ships in our space."
Ko'Vor looked pleased at this statement, it would mean his house had exclusive control over how things went in this area of space.
"What type of ships?" Ko'Vor's brother asked.
"Military ships," Metrel said," civilian ships will be protected by our ships, but they will all be scanned to make sure they don't break any of our laws."
'I doubt they will, out civilian ships aren’t equip for dangerous missions. I accept your proposal, for now i will send back all my ships but the U'Hitar and then know i have the option to bring them back if needed. Brother take your remaining ships back also and give a full report.' 'Yes brother...' he said somewhat reluctantly. After a while longer Ko'Vor was addressed with another situation... “The planet of Metrona will be open for settlement for both of your governments, but with restrictions of course,” Metrel said.
'what restrictions?' Ko'Vor asked. but Metrel didn’t seem to want to say at the moment. 'An interesting deal. Certainly one worth talking about. But you destroyed one of my ships for being cureous about the planet but now are allowing us to settle there anyhow? what was the point in the bloodshed earlier then?'
Ko'Vor noticed his point bounce off the walls as he was ignorred.
“I recommend that you take this deal, because if you do not the Metron Consortium will take our revenge,” Metrel said as he transported the three men back to their ship.
re-appearing on his ship he looked around.... 'Did you sort things out sir?' his son asked. 'We made.... progress.' Ko'Vor looked around and then said 'Patch a comm. link through to Caspains ship, we need to talk about this.' 'The comm. is still down sir.' 'Damn.. fine ready a shuttle i will go over there myself.'
Ko'Vor made his way to the shuttle bay and leaving the ship laid a heading to Caspains ship, signalling his desire to enter.

Fenel tentitivly stepped into the chamber. "High Chancellor, I must request that I be given acess to the remains of Commander Ikar, whome you beamed of the station."
"I'm afraid that will be incredibly difficult doctor, why is this so important?" Metrel asked.
"From what exams we where able to do on the body before you removed it I determined that there may be somone else who either is involved or knows a great deal of important things about Ikar and why he was here." Fenel replied.
"You can tell all his looking at a body doctor, you amaze me." Metrel said, he didn't sound convinced.
"Not quite. There is a species among th federation that has the ability to enter into someone's mind using a specific physical touch, this touch leaves temperary, often unoticable lesions in the skin. Commander Ikar has such lesion, which are obviose enough I believe he was recently involved in such a meld, and that he seems to meld frequently." Fenel hoped that this would not turn Metrel more from the federation. "If I can do more tissue samples I may be able to determine who this vulcan is, and in doing so get to the root of this corruption."
"Look at me doctor I need to see that you are telling the truth." Metral demanded.
"I don't know where you are, speak again." Fenel replied as she struggled to locate the High Chancellor.
"You could see before what happened?!" The Metron leader sounded suspicouse, and yet Fenel could detect a hint of concern.
"Commander Ikar attacked me from behind, I lost my vision as an infant and rely on implants to see, when he hit me these where damaged." Fenel replied, she had at last determined where Metral was.
"I see, and yet you can determine the injuries Ikar recieved prior ot his death."
"I have hands sir, and I was aided by a Medical hologram." fenel replied. "Now please can I take the samples I need?"

Post by Malachi Caspian on Nov 16, 2005 3:47:56 GMT -5
Malachi stared around the Chamber the three of them had been led to. It was very large, some would say massive and it held an Imperial grandeur. Something that Malachi was sure Metrel had wanted them to notice. He took his indicated seat and nodded to Ko'Vor and the Klingon that accompanied him. He wore the emblem of the Assin Fleet and showed similar characteristics to that of Ko'Vor, Malachi assumed they were brothers, cousins at the very least.
"High Chancellor, this Federation Doctor insisted on speaking with you."
Malachi looked at Metrel when this was said. He was confused, why would someone from Beta beam over here? Could theye even beam over here?
"That is not of my concern," Metrel said as he waved his hand for the Metron to leave the meeting chamber.
"High Chancellor Metrel as official representative for the United Federation of Planets I would like to apologize for what happened today," Caspian said honestly, he needed to make the Federation's stance completely clear.
"Captain I believe in your word, but that does not change what happened," Metrel said," I was forced to kill living people who were brought into this battle because of a mad man. A mad man that was put in power by your government Captain."
"No, not by my Government High Chancellor. Starfleet Intelligence rarely acts on the orders of Starfleet Command. She is a unit that holds a great presence on the Council but usually makes her own decisions on how to run. Starfleet, nor the Federation would hand Beta willingly over to Intelligence." He replied.
"That also doesn't excuse what the Klingons did, but to be honest I understand their reactions," Metrel said for the first time giving the Klingon's credit," they did not start this battle, but in their rage they attacked us."
Caspian grimaced, the Klingon's were being favoured. If control of this sector was handed over to the Empire Malachi didn't like to guess how long Beta would stay where it was. Relations between the Empire and the Federation were at an all time low, the Empire withdrawing deeper and deeper inside its borders. Another one of Intelligence's theories was that the Klingons were preparing for war. Malahci knew this was absurd, but some were less than sure. Klingon control of this sector could give Intelligence yet more ammunition.
"We attacked you due to a misunderstanding, we thought it was you that attacked us not the station. We thought this because we are allied with the federation and not you so why would they attack us? Now though, of course, I realise our narrow minded vision in this matter and i apologise."
Metrel for the first time believed that he was finally getting somewhere with the Klingon's and the Federation.
"There is still a major problem Captain, General," Metrel said," that is your military force in our space."
Malachi shifted uncomfortably. If all went to plan in these meetings the Starfleet 'military' presence would get a whole lot bigger.
"Our military force was my doing, I bought it here as a defence force, I assure you that my it was only intended for that purpose."
Caspian nodded. "Indeed, I requested the help of the now dessacated Assin Fleet in aiding Beta."
Ko'Vors brother perked up too;
"You cant restrict the Empire from roaming the galaxy!"
"'Shut up!" Ko'Vor said, he could see his brother about to say the wrong thing. Malachi was also concerned, one false word and this could all fall to pieces.
"But they want to ban our ships from their space!"
"No, brother, they haven’t said anything like that yet, listen and you may get further in life my foolish brother."
Caspian sighed and relaxed a little, it looked like Ko'Vor could handle his hot-headed brother.
"But brother..." The Klingon started.
'NO! Lets see what High Chancellor Metrel has to say first."
Suddenly realising the argument could be heard by everyone Ko'Vor turned back to Metrel as did Caspian. Even though Metrel hadn't said anything concrete yet Caspian, Ko'Vor, and who Metrel thought was Ko'Vor's brother were fighting what they knew was to come.
"Quiet," Metrel said as he slammed his hand on the table, "We are a peaceful race when it comes to rational species, but this unprovoked attack has angered my people and if you want to prevent war you must concede to our conditions."
Caspian said nothing, he would neither disagree or agree before he had heard it all and briefed both Kirk and Starfleet Command.
"We didn’t start the attack, why are you banning our ships?" Ko'Vor asked.
"The Klingon Empire has been our galactic neighbor for a very long time and we have shunned from making personal contact with them, something that I now realized was a mistake," Metrel said," if we had had closer ties this would of never of happened."
"I agree, this was a foolish series of events, where do we go from here?"
"That being said, I have decided that the Assin Fleet and only the Assin Fleet will be allowed into our space," Metrel said," but we won't allow more than twenty ships in our space."
"What type of ships?" Ko'Vor's brother asked. Caspain sitffened, had this offended Metrel? However, he relaxed when he heard the answer.
"Military ships," Metrel said, "civilian ships will be protected by our ships, but they will all be scanned to make sure they don't break any of our laws."
"I doubt they will, out civilian ships aren’t equip for dangerous missions. I accept your proposal, for now i will send back all my ships but the U'Hitar and then know I have the option to bring them back if needed. Brother take your remaining ships back also and give a full report."
"Yes brother..." He said somewhat reluctantly. Caspian nodded to himself. The brother of Ko'Vor may be hot-headed but at least he was obediant. It would be difficult for the Klingon warrior to return to Qro'nos with a desacated fleet and Caspian was proud to see that he would do it none the less.
"Now to the Federation," Metrel said with a sigh,” to be honest I have had high hopes for you. The first meeting with Captain Jonathan Kirk showed us that your people had hope, but recent events have made people think that this is not the case."
"I would have to disagree with you High Chancellor, with all due respect of course. The Federation would be a powerful ally to you, and besides you need us." He had played a gamble there. Metrel would either demand Starfleet withdraw from this sector or would continue with the negotiations, more in favour of Starfleet and the Federation.
"That being said I still believe that the Federation is a worthy ally," Metrel said, "the crew of the Darkhawk has made me believe that. But the Federation is still without reproach, so for that reason the Metron Consortium has decided to stop any further military advancement."
"So what of Beta?" Caspian asked, this was not what he had hoped but it was better than nothing. Maybe over time a stronger presence could be made.
"Starbase Beta will be allowed to stay as long as the Federation honors the guidelines that myself and Captain Kirk had set." Metrel responded.
"Very good High Chancellor, I will be conferring with Captain Kirk when he is well enough to do so." Malachi replied simply.
"We will also limit the amount of ships that will be in our space," Metrel said, "we think that the twenty ship limit will work as well."
"That is very gracious of you High Chancellor, this will be acceptable." Malachi had of course lied, he was sure Command would have something to negative to say on this, as if sensing that Metrel spoke up again.
"We know that this will cause angry reactions with both of your governments so I have decided to offer something as well." Metrel said.
“What is that?” Ko’Vor asked who seemed to be angrier every moment he was here. Caspian just hoped he would bite his tongue.
"I will allow Metrona to be settled by both of your governments." Metrel said.
"What are you saying Chancellor?" Caspian said as he perched his body forward. This was indeed an interesting development.
"The planet of Metrona will be open for settlement for both of your governments, but with restrictions of course." Metrel said.
Caspian did not speak, allowing Ko'Vor to take the floor.
"What restrictions?" Ko'Vor asked, but Metrel didn’t seem to want to say at the moment. "An interesting deal. Certainly one worth talking about. However, you destroyed one of my ships for being curious about the planet but now are allowing us to settle there anyhow? What was the point in the bloodshed earlier then?"
Malachi flinched, this could anger the High Chancellor. After all, the Metrons had not started the conflict.
"I recommend that you take this deal, because if you do not the Metron Consortium will take our revenge." Metrel said as he transported the three men back to their ship.
Caspian was shocked at their sudden departure and also shocked to find him on his ship.
"Are you alright Sir?" One officer asked.
"I believe so." He said frowning. He had a lot to think about.
"Sir, a Klingon shuttle has just departed from the U'Hitar. It is General Ko'Vor, he states that the comms on his ship are down and requests your immediate attention."
Malachi sighed. The day was just getting longer. "Understood, allow him to board and tell him to meet me in Ambassadorial Conference Room 2."
"Aye Sir."
Malachi left the Bridge and headed for the Conference room. When he arrived he replicated some coffee and waited for Ko'Vor to arrive.
Approximately ten minutes later Ko'Vor and a Security Officer arrived at the Conference Room.
"I am offended by this Security Officer Captain." Ko'Vor said bluntly as he entered the room. "After all, did I not serve on a Starfleet Base for many months?"
Malachi nodded to the officer, signalling him to leave. "New security measures General. All non-Starfleet personnel must be escorted round the vessel. After all, we were nearly in a time of war." He paused, but not long enough for Ko'Vor to respond. "Please take a seat General, may I get you a drink? I fear we may be talking for a while."

Post by Jonathan Kirk on Nov 16, 2005 5:48:59 GMT -5
Kirk opened his eyes and was blinded by a bright white light that remained constant has tried to blink the light away. Seeing only the bight light Kirk tried to focus his attention on what stood before him. It took a few moments before the light began to dull in intensity revealing colors and shapes, the white light was replace with a familiar gray interior. Suddenly a human face appeared in front of him carefully looking a point on interest on Kirk’s body. After a few more moments sounds and smells began to flood Kirk’s senses, the room smelled clean, the sounds of a medical facility began to become more clear as Kirk hearing slowly came back around.
Then it started, millions of little voices coursed through Kirk’s head, sending messages through out Kirk’s body, Borg nano-probes doing their part to keep Kirk alive. It seemed one of the doctors noticed Kirk began to stir as he quickly came over to check on the injured captain. The man did not say anything to Kirk at first; he simply checked Kirk’s shoulder and his vital signs before he engages in conversation.
“How are you feeling?” The doctor asked.
Kirk looked down at his shoulder remembering the battle between himself and Ikar, “I feel like I have been shot.”
“That is understandable Captain, we nearly lost you there. I would have to say that if not for your Borg side you would have probably died.”
“Finally the Borg side of me comes in handy,” Kirk said sitting up in the bio bed, “I need to talk to Ensign Mary.”
“Who?”
“Ensign Mary,” Kirk said rubbing his eyes, “She took care of me, I saw her a couple of times while I was in and out of consciousness.”
“Sir, we do not have a Ensign Mary working in sickbay.” The doctor said a bit confused as he walked away.
Kirk looked on with disbelief, was the doctor lying to him or had Kirk imagined this ensign? All he knew for sure was that he was alive and feeling like crap, his shoulder hurt when it moved in any direction. He could feel the battle going on within his own body between the medications the doctors had given him and the continuing work of the nano-probes.
“Sir I took the liberty of bringing you a new shirt and jacket.” A Ensign working in sickbay said handing Kirk his new attire.
“Thank you Ensign.” Kirk replied taking the new jacket and shirt from his hands and placing them at the foot of the bio bed.
Kirk looked around the room shocked to see sickbay as quiet as it was. What happened with the attack, how long was a out? Kirk thought to himself a bit puzzled. Getting to his feet Kirk felt light headed by steadied himself on the bio beds edge before slowly taking off his burned and torn red command shirt. Kirk moved as slow as he could but every inch he moved caused pain to shoot through out his body. One female nurse spotted Kirk’s slow attempts at getting dressed and proceeded to help the injured captain.
“Let me help you sir.” She said grabbing a hold of Kirk’s command shirt.
“Thank you.” Kirk replied holding out his right arm letting the nurse slip on his sleeves.
Kirk grimaced as he moved his left arm into place to have the sleeve slid on. Keeping his arm out Kirk instructed the nurse to quickly place his jacket over the shift before he passed out from the pain. Holding out a few seconds longer than he thought he could his uniform was back in order and Kirk was sweating profusely from simply getting dressed.
“Just wait a second before you leave Captain.” The nurse said walking away to retrieve a sling.
“What’s that?” Kirk asked with a surprised look on his face.
“This is a sling,” The nurse said while she slowly placed it around Kirks right forearm to help prevent him from moving his shoulder too much, “There was a lot of deep tissue damage from the phaser blast. The doctor believes that it should heal naturally instead of cloning new tissue from other parts of your body.”
Kirk nodded letting the nurse know he understood what she was saying. Kirk was still confused about the condition of sickbay; the lack of patients bothered him the most. While he looked around he remembered that he had spoken to Fenel down in one of the many sickbays and her bay did not look like this at all.
“Which sickbay am I in?” Kirk finally asked.
The nurse looked confused by Kirk’s question, “I do not seem to understand Captain, you’re in the only sickbay on this ship.”
“What class ship is this?” Kirk asked.
“This is a Prometheus class starship, commanded by Captain Caspian.”
Kirk felt his mind race for answers again; it seemed Caspian healed quicker than Kirk had thought he would after the almost deadly phaser shot he took earlier. Kirk now knew Caspian probably had the orders request he had asked for from Starfleet Command when he was first called back off the Darkhawk.
“Computer, locate Captain Caspian.” Kirk said
Captain Caspian is in Ambassadorial Conference Room 2.
Kirk left sickbay and headed straight for the Ambassadorial Conference room. As he walked he marveled at how massive this ship was, how much detail was place in everything that had been done to it. He marveled at the sights but could not help himself from reminding himself that it was not the Darkhawk.
Kirk spotted a single guard standing out side the conference room; the guard nodded and let Kirk pass with out any resistance. Stepping into the conference room Kirk noticed Ko’Vor and Caspian were already deep into a serious conversation.
“Damn fine ship you have got here Caspian.” Kirk said with a smile as he walked toward Ko’Vor and Caspian.

The doors to Conference Room smoothly opened and the last person Caspian had expectd to see walked in.
"Kirk." Malachi said, rising to his feet and approaching the weak looking Officer.
"Damn fine ship you have got here Caspian." Kirk said with a smile as he walked toward Ko’Vor and Caspian.
Malachi nodded and smiled. "She may not be mine just yet Captain, and is still without a name."
Kirk looked a little confused but there was not time to explain at the moment. "Please take a seat Captain, I was just getting General Ko'Vor a drink. May I get anything for you?" He asked.
<TAG Kirk>
After the drinks had been received from the replicator, Malachi sat down and took a sip of his coffee.
"Well Gentlemen, we have much to discuss." Malachi started. "First, Kirk, can you manage to sit through the final talks with Metrel? He speaks very highly of you."
<TAG Kirk>
"Excellent, well I suppose myself and Ko'Vor should brief you on the current situation Captain. We have little time and I imagine Metrel will be champing at the bit to get our response."

"I have hands sir, and I was aided by a Medical hologram." fenel replied. "Now please can I take the samples I need?"
Metrel really wanted to help the doctor, but he knew that he couldn't do it. The body of Commander Ikar right now was being scrutinized by his people. It would then be transported to a Class Z planet.
"Doctor if there is anything my doctor will find it," Metrel said," but other than that I cannot help you." With that Metrel transported the doctor to the station and himself to the Destiny.
When he rematerlized on the bridge of the Destiny he quickly explained to the Royal members of what he had done.
"Excuse me for being blunt High Chancellor, but what in hell are you doing?" Cylia asked. It was very strange to hear a Metron speak so crudely, but Metrel quickly realized that this sentiment was felt by almost everyone on the bridge.
"I have done what is best for the Metron Consortium," Metrel said cooly.
"Some of us don't see that, Chancellor," Liysar, the Commander of the 1st Metron fleet and one of Metrel's closest allies.
"Do you see that way Liysar?" Metrel asked.
"Sir, we have lost 1253 citizens of the Metron Consortium," Masar said.
"It is an outrage," Masar said as he stood firm with the entire Metron High Coucil.
"I agree with you all, but we cannot afford to go to war," Metrel said," we know that we owe the Federation a great deal." Metrel was of course talking about the destruction of the Borg Hub by the USS Voyager.
"You know that the Borg have started to regain their strength and they have once again turned their attention to the Metron Consortium," Metrel said wearly.
That fact quieted most of the objections but Talar was still enraged.
"They must pay," Talar said as he walked up to Metrel. What Talar had just done could be seen as treason, confronting the High Chancellor was seen as a crime in their society. Metrel raised his hand to quiet everyone.
"We should not fight," Metrel said," we are the Metron Royal Concl, we must think about the future."
"You are right High Chancellor," Masar said," so for now we will stand united, but if anything else happens we will take this up at the Royal Chamber."

"Doctor if there is anything my doctor will find it," Metrel said," but other than that I cannot help you." With that Metrel transported the doctor to the station and himself to the Destiny
Fenel was struck by dissapointment, she had thought for sure that the High Chancellor would at leat allow her to collecr her sampled. "Sir, your doctors don't even know what they should be looking for...."
"Ensign, I think Metrel has made himself clear." Caspian interupted. "Please have your doctors send any test results to us."
"I will notify them of your desire for them, but I cannot promise that they will send you all test results." Metral replied.
"Thank you sir." Fenel replied, slightly bitter from being cut off by Caspian. "May I return to the base?"
"Of course." Metral issued the order, and Fenel felt the temperature change, a signal she was back on board.
"Doctor!" Fenel heard Enisgn Tellel's voice, the one assigned to help her around the ship. "the infirmary contacted me, they said they have everything under control. Willow thinks it would be a good idea if you came in so they can figure out how much damage was done to your eyes."
"Lead me to her." fenel replied, she was certain that Willow would suggest she take it easy and let the nanoprobes do their job, but she had paper work to file, patients to care for and tests to examine.
"Fenel, come and sit down. We've almost cleared out all the wounded from the battle. That weapon of the Metrons did a fair bit of damage to the station, but there are not as many casualties as I expected." Fenel easily recougnised Willow's voice.
"How may died?" Fenel asked hesitantly.
"So far thirty two, numbers from the civilian quarter are still coming in, but I'd estimate that it will be under fifty.
Fenel was struck silent. "I... I didn't realise it would be so many..."
"Obviosly you haven't been in many battles, we did well and things could have been worse." Willow replied "Now I'm not to good with microtechnology and things. but I think I should be able to figure something out..."
Fenel heard the faint familiar sound of a medical tricorder. "Let me geuss, things are reparing themselves but it will take a few days before I can see again."
"pretty much, but there is a great deal of damage here, I'm surprised you only lost your sight. I'd estimate about a week before you see like you did before. Now I'm going to give you some Rexalin for pain relief... don't try and deny you have a headache." Fenel felt a hypospray on her neck.
"It's going to make me drowsy, I can't work if I'm drowsy." Fenel protested.
"You won't be working like this, you now as well as I do that some rest will help the implants heal faster. I can get the Captain's authorization to temperarily relieve you of duty if I have to."
"That's not necessary, just tell me if the Metron's contact us about some autopsy results and don't let me sleep through an emergancy."

"Please take a seat Captain, I was just getting General Ko'Vor a drink. May I get anything for you?" Caspian asked.
Kirk walked slowly taking a seat next to General Ko’Vor, “A iced Raktajino if it’s not too much trouble.” Kirk said.
Caspian turned to the replicator ordering up the drinks Kirk and Ko’Vor had asked for. Kirk found himself comfortable in the presence of the Klingon warrior again.
”So it’s General now is it?” Kirk asked taking the drink out of Caspian’s hand.

"Well Gentlemen, we have much to discuss." Malachi started cutting off the quick side conversation between Kirk and Ko’Vor, "First, Kirk, can you manage to sit through the final talks with Metrel? He speaks very highly of you."
Kirk nodded at hearing the praise from Caspian. Kirk never felt he had made such an impact on a being such as Metrel. The man stood at such power and lived with such an ego that Kirk thought he would never be able to pull any form of a compliment out of him.
“Yes Metrel and I set up early peace terms that I have forward to Starfleet Command just before Ikar began his attack on the station.” Kirk said hoping Caspian had already been briefed on the report he filed.
"Excellent, well I suppose myself and Ko'Vor should brief you on the current situation Captain. We have little time and I imagine Metrel will be champing at the bit to get our response."
Kirk sat and listed as Caspian caught Kirk quickly up to speed, it seemed that Metrel had changed his mind about Federation citizens landing on Metoria. Kirk’s first reaction was shock, but was quickly followed by skepticism, it did not make sense to Kirk why a powerful leader who earlier insisted that no one other than a Metron should take one step onto Metoria.
“I am just as shocked as you guys about the sudden changes in position of Metrel,” Kirk said standing up with his Raktajino, “I do not want any Federation personnel to land on Metoria until either Doctor Fenel or Doctor Jones conducts studies on the planets current atmospheric conditions. Our bodies might not be able to handle the low levels of Thalaron contamination that is currently free flowing in the air on Metoria.”

OFF: sorry to have to do another catch up post, been very busy lately ON:
Ko'Vor departed from his shuttle, and greeted by 3 federation security officers... 'I have clearance do I not?' Ko'Vor asked raising one eyebrough. 'Yes, general, but we are ordered to escort you nether the less.' 'I can make my own way gentlemen.' Ko'Vor assured them as he made off for the door. 'General I’m afraid if you do not heed to our escort you will be thrown off the ship.' Ko'Vor stopped and straightened up. He licked his teeth behind his gums and said 'Very well....' A few moments later he entered the conference room where caspain was awaiting him.
"I am offended by this Security Officer Captain." Ko'Vor said bluntly as he entered the room. "After all, did I not serve on a Starfleet Base for many months?"
"New security measures General. All non-Starfleet personnel must be escorted round the vessel. After all, we were nearly in a time of war." He paused, but not long enough for Ko'Vor to respond. "Please take a seat General, may I get you a drink? I fear we may be talking for a while."
'I fear so too captain, i will have blood wine, if your replicates know how to do that?'
Caspain handed him a drink after sniffing loudly to show they were more knowledgeable than given credit for.
Ko'Vor sat down and watched as the captain made a movement towards a different chair and sat in it. bending over and resting his arms on his legs caspain spoke, 'I think we both know what we have to do?'
'Yes sir. This offer should be taken, it is a good compromise baring in mind what they could have asked of us. How should we go about this?'
<tag Caspain>
'well i think the klingon council will have no disagreements with that, infact they will be pleased that we have made such progress. How should we go about settling on the planet? I think we should create a place where our 3 species can co-exist smoothly, where we can share combined interests and build a new world out here.... pardon the pun.'
<tag caspain>
'I agree but...' Ko'Vor was interrupted by Kirk strolling in. He was glad to see him still alive, he got up to show respect and wanted to go and shake his hand but decided the tone of the room was leading to more serious talks rather than pleasantries. Instead he smiled and nodded and sat back down.
”So it’s General now is it?” Kirk asked taking the drink out of Caspian’s hand.
Ko'Vor smiled. Yes, I was surprised myself... i was made general of 30 ships... I wish i could say the same now though, only having 13 left.... I am glad to see you are well captain.' Ko'Vor smiled again.
They sat in a circle of chairs and discussed the situation to inform Kirk. Ko'Vor was pleased he reacted in the same way. They were on the same grounds after all.
'The klingon empire will not lay a foot there until the federation does. I only think it fair that wee all go down together, or not at all. Then when we get there we can talk about how to build up what we have. what are your ideas captains?'

"I agree Captain Kirk and I appreciate what you say General. In fact I am not overly pleased with the idea of settlement at this stage at is. I believe the Federation is stretching itself too far. Command is worried that with the increased Borg activity and with signs of the Breen rearming that we will be facing another conflict within the next two years or so. They are gathering territory and allies too fast to stabalise their position." Malachi stopped and took another sip of his beverage. "When do you wish to speak with Metrel again Captain?" He asked addressing Kirk.
<TAG Kirk>
"Mmmhh.. You see my time on Beta is limited. I was only given temporary command of this fine vessel we find ourselves on. She is a prototype and I am to return to Centia IV as soon as possible for debriefing." Caspian replied.

”I am not entirely sure,” Kirk paused, “It has been typical for Metrel to be the one to contact us when he wants to speak.”

”I understand Captain,” Kirk said standing up to refill his Raktajino in the replicator, “I need to get back to DSB, no doubt they are going to need somebody to head up the repairs on the station. Could you have Dr. Fenel meet me in transporter room one in one hour?”
