'captain i will see you in your office. NOW.' Ko'Vor strode towards his office and entered. As he went in he noticed the crack from earlier. The captain didnt move. 'I dont take orders from you he called after Ko'Vor. Ko'Vor on the other hand didnt care. he waited in the captains office untill finally the captain joined him.
Ko'Vor smiled. then that quickly turned to intense anger.
'How Dare You INsult ME in front of everyone. I have tryed to keep patient but i will not br much longer. I came to the bridge as fast as i could. i HAD hoped for a chance to provei was more than just capable of overseeing loading of ships. i HAD hoped to show you im able to keep my cool and think quickly in battle. But you're unable to even thank me for tyring to help! Either treat me with respect of i will file as many complaints as it takes to get accross to starfleet that you are a Disshonerable P'ta.'
Caspain had kept reletively calm.. he stood there looking at his hands.
'Finished?' he said 'Not yet, we need to go over some flaws i found in your tactical procidures, i believe we can make them much more efficiant.'

Even more insulted Ko'Vor Put his hands out as if to strangle the captain. Then quickly retracting them he swiped a dagger out. he put it to his hand and cut into the skin between the fingers. holding his hand out again he said; 'I have shed my blood for you. next time it will be your blood that is shed' Ko'Vor stormed out of the office and decided for now to remain on the command deck where he hadn't yet speant much time.

"Is that the correct thing to say sir?" Lorian asked smiling. Jon just smiled and kept on reading his PADD.
"I see." Kirk said looking up from his PADD, "I have somethings I want to go over with you. How about we grab something to eat on the station?"
"Of course sir," Lorian said as he waited for the Captain to stand up. The walk to wards the station was a productive one. Both of them were just awestruck by the engineering marvel that the DSB was. It was just wonderful. Once they arrived they saw that there were a number of Federation species here and it amazed them how fast they had arrived. Soon enough they were sitting ready to order.
"Take your pick Commander," Kirk said with his arm stretched out to wards the many food vendors.
"Well I think I'll take a T-Bone Steak," Lorian said as he ordered. The captain and himself talked mostly about the base and how beautiful it was. Soon enough Lorian could smell the steak coming his way. It looked delicious, this was something that he would be looking forward to.
"Caspian to Ko'Vor and Kirk, report to my office immediately."
"Would you please join me Commander? It is only fair my first officer gets to come if his does." Kirk said smiling at the child like nature of his joke.
"Of course sir," Lorian said as he followed the Captain to wards the Ops area. The walk was a quick paced one that quickly ended when the both met up with Commander McLean.
"Well Captain, we just got our selfs a very strange hail. It was audio only. The voice just wanted to know our reason for being close to their...boarder. They said a word I cannot remember." Reported McLean.
"What is so urgent about that?" Kirk asked looking at Commander Smith.
"Well sir, I scanned the area for ships and there were none. With the sensors on board this station I could have told you how many torpedoes the Dark hawk has when she is cloaked."
"Alright, I guess we should go see what the tyrant wants then. Shall we?" Kirk said first looking up at Caspian's officer then looking at Commander Smith. This situation would not turn out well. Lorian already knew it, he could just feel that something really bad is going to happen. Once the entered Captain Caspian's office, Captain Kirk logically asked.
"What seems to be the problem Mr. Caspian?"
"1. You did not knock, 2. You called me Mr., and 3. we have engaged the Metrons." What in the hell was this man saying. Lorian automatically felt a hatred to wards the man he had just met. He was egotistical, big headed, and disrespectful. Lorian was going to give him a mouthful. But Captain Kirk stopped him from ruining his career.
When who Lorian thought was Commander Ko'Vor walked into the Captain office, Lorian thought that things would go underway, but he was shocked to see that Caspian treated his own number one with a great disrespect than Captain Kirk and himself.
"Now Mr. Kirk, will you dismiss you FO or do I have to do that as well?"
"I will go Captain, I wouldn't want to overstay my welcome," Lorian said as started down Caspian.
"Commander stay were you are," Kirk commanded," I want you to stay, plus you need to know whats going on."
"Dismiss him now Kirk. Or I will get you and your tin ship reassigned." The exchange between the captain's became really really heated. Lorian felt a deep gratitude to wards his Captain. He was fighting for him, and he would always be grateful.
What happened next really suprised Lorian, he had met some hard headed Captain's but none had ever become violent. Malchi lunged forwards, his hands clenched in tight fists. Malachi's fists narrowly missing the startled Officer's head.
"Captain Caspian!" Kirk exclaimed. "What..." However he did not get to finish.
The Starbase rocked violently sending many of Malachis belongings flying. Lorian now new the his prediction was coming true.
Kirk grabbed Commander Smith's arm, "We need to get to the Darkhawk! You head down there right now, I will summon the crew."
"Understood." Smith said before getting onto a near by turbo lift. The run to wards the ship was the fastest one he had ever done in his life. Everyone on board was getting ready for a battle. As soon as Lorian got onto the bridge he quickly said.
=^=Battlestations=^ The claxons on the Darkhawk went red and there was comotion everywhere.
"Ensign Anderson who is firing?" Lorian asked.
<Tag Katie>
When Captain Kirk came onto the bridge, Lorian just went to the science station, where there was no one in sight.
"Take us out full impulse power."
"Aye sir."
The Darkhawk raced in between the two main hulls of the station and began scanning for any possible targets to fire upon. The ship shook as it was hit by some weapon. Lorian knew that there was minimal damgae, but why would Metrons be firing on them. He understood that they were close to their territory, but they should know that the Federation meant no harm.
Then out of nowhere the ship just went to warp. The battle was over as fast as it had started. Captain Kirk kept the ship at Red alert and just sighed.
=^=I want reports in thirty minutes from everyone=^= Lorian said over the comm. Lorian quickly went back to his chair and quickly downloaded everything the Federation knew about the Metrons.

"Ensign Katie who is firing?" Lorian asked.
"I don't know Commander. The shots are coming from cloaked ships, but I can't find seem to locate any signatures from their engines."
"Bring us about ensign," Kirk said.
"Aye sir." Katie replied quickly.
Katie quickly changed the course of the ship and turned it completely around to face the on coming enemy. To her surprise the mysterious enemy has stopped firing.
Her station started beeping so she checked it out as quick as she could.
"Sir, I'm reading warp signatures leaving our system." She said still looking down at her station.

Scott had made his way down to Engineering once he boarded the ship with Captain Kirk. Scott took it upon himself to start a series of unorthodox scans to try and located the attacking ships.
Word had spread quickly about the identity of the attackers and that caused alot of panic through out the engineering section. Scott had to shake a few crewmen back to their senses when they became over come with fear.
A single shot impacted the rear of the ship shaking it from the rear, throwing Scott up against a console. He grip the console hard waiting for a second blast but it never came.
"Is everybody alright?" He called out.
Many of the engineers looked around at each other and nodded letting Scott know there no serious injuries down in engineering. Walking back over the station he was at before losing his balance during the weapons impact Scott found himself face to face with some seriously disturbing information. He quickly downloaded the information onto a PADD and raced up towards the bridge.

"Sir, I'm reading warp signatures leaving our system." She said still looking down at her station.
"Anything else Ensign?"Kirk asked.
<Tag Ensign Anderson>
Standing to the of the Ensign Kirk leaned over putting his left hand on the console and his right hand on the back of the Ensigns chair for support.
"I do see the problem with that. Please make a note of it in the ships logs. We can't do anything about that now."
"Aye sir." The young Ensign replied.
Sitting back down in his chair Kirk adjusted his jacket. The information Ensign Anderson had shown him was a bit alarming, but it did fit in with the past information known about the Metrons.
"Incoming hair from the station sir." Ensign Anderson reported, "It's audio only."
"Open channel."
"Captain Kirk, we appear to have ceased the fire for now, I will keep the Starbase on Red Alert, it is down to you to decide what you want to do with the Darkhawk. Caspian out."
Kirk leaned over in his chair to face Commander Smith, "Number one, what did you find out about the Metrons?"
<Tag Commander Smith>
Right after Commander Smith finished what he was saying Kirk saw Lt. Commander McLean burst through the turbo lift doors.
"What's going on Chief?" Kirk said sounding very concerned.

Daya was roughly awoken from his slumber, by the station itself rocking in space. He was thrown from his bed onto the floor, then across part of his room.
"what the hell!" he yelled out, knowing no one would hear him. He rushed from his room and went straight to the Darkhawk.
He arrived just in time to see Captain Kirk arrive. He stood at his station and went over as much of the data as possible
"Why the hell did we not see them?" he called out, hoping for some kind of answer, which Kirk replied, " a very good question"

irk leaned over in his chair to face Commander Smith, "Number one, what did you find out about the Metrons?"
"The Metrons are a powerful, enigmatic race first encountered in 2267. Captain James T. Kirk had ordered the USS Enterprise to pursue a Gorn vessel that had destroyed the observation outpost located on Cestus III," Lorian started. "The Metrons felt that the Federation were savages for pursuing the Gorn. So they teleported Captain Kirk and the Captain of the Gorn ship, for a battle to death. Captain Kirk of course surived, but spared his eneimes life. This act of kindness surprised the Metrons, and spared everyone's life and transported the Enterprise 1600 light years from there space."
"So we must be close to their space?" Captain kirk asked.
"Yes sir, but we do know that their governing body is the Metron Consortium," Lorian said, " I think that we need to contact them."

Off: Joint post between myself and Commander Smith
"Yes sir, but we do know that their governing body is the Metron Consortium," Lorian said, " I think that we need to contact them."
"It's safe to say they might not want to talk," Kirk said looking at the main view screen, "suggestions?" He asked looking back to Commander Smith.
"Well sir, we have to try. The Metrons gave us a warning. If there as powerful as Captain Kirk reported they can destroy us from anywhere in their space," Lorian said.
"Understood." Kirk said a bit confused on how they will get in contact with an invisible empire, "Does that report you have give the location of their home world?"
"No sir, but someone here in this part of space must of had contact before with them," Lorian said knowing how stupid and far fetched the answer was.
"Let's hope they faired much better than us Number One."
"Well sir, I bet they did, there still here aren't they, Captain."
"Number One, you have the bridge." Kirk said as he got up form his chair and headed off into his ready room.
Lorian hadn't expected this, but said. "Aye sir"
Kirk sat down in his chair and faced the console in front of him. He tapped his thumbs on the table a second letting himself build up the nerve to send a message to Captain Caspian.
"Computer, open a channel to Deep Space Beta." Kirk ordered.
Moments later Captain Caspian answered the call, "What do you want Kirk?"
"We cannot seem to locate our attackers. Through our database we have found information about the Metrons,"
"You are just about worthless arn't you." Caspian interrupted.
"Captain, I do not really feel like getting into it with your right now. You need to realize there is a powerful race out here that could have destroyed us if they wanted."
There was no response as it seemed Kirk had finally found the crack in Caspian's armor; the preservation of his own life.
"What we need from you if to do several deep scans to locate any civilizations in our sector. With any luck we can locate a race that has come across the Metrons and knows where their home world is. The Darkhawk is going to continue to patrol and do our own scans to try and locate their warp signatures."
<Tag Captain Caspian>
"Thank you Captain." Kirk said as he got up form his chair and walked out of his ready room.
"Report." Kirk asked stepping onto the bridge.
<Tag Everyone>
Kirk sat down and listened to the reports come in. The turbo lift doors opened behind him and Lt. Commander McLean appeared in front of him. McLean had a look of fright on his face and it seemed he was not trying to do anything about hiding it.
"What's the matter Commander?"

"All systems are back to normal sir. Shields are at 100%, weapons ready, claok operational." Daya was happy, the engineering team had done good, keeping the shields going.
Daya sighed to himself as he looked at thte systems once more, trying to determine what else he could do

"Anything else Ensign?"Kirk asked.
"Yes sir, but I don't know what to make of it." Katie replied.
Standing to the of the Ensign Kirk leaned over putting his left hand on the console and his right hand on the back of the Ensigns chair for support.
"You see Captain I have picked up their warp signatures, but the trail faded out too fast for me to be able to plot a course to follow them."
"I do see the problem with that. Please make a note of it in the ships logs. We can't do anything about that now."
"Aye sir." Katie replied
Katie began immediantly on her new orders to make a official log into the ships computer. This is her first log and she didn't want to leave anything out so she was being as detailed as possible. She had actually spent so much time on it she almost missed the Captain's order for a new report on the ships status.
Katie quickly looked over her station.
"Captain, everything is normal at the helm."

"What's the matter Commander?" Kirk asked.
"We have a problem sir," Scott said clearly sounding alarmed, "I was running some scans down in engineering during the battle to try and locate our attackers."
"What did you find?" Kirk asked being a bit more firm.
"I found high levels of Thelaron Radiation present during the battle," McLean said coldly, "It appears the Metrons are using it to cloak their ships and add an extra punch to their disruptor's."
"Can we follow the trail?" Kirk asked quickly.
"I'm afraid not sir. I was able to map out a trail, but the Metrons entered and left in all directions. My best guess is that we were attacked by a group of small fighters, probably no bigger than a runabout due to the levels of radiation and the attack patterns."

Malachi followed his Klingon XO into Caspian's office. Normally he wouldn't of complied to such a command, but he had a hunch that this could be interesting.
"How Dare You Insult ME in front of everyone. I have tryed to keep patient but i will not be for much longer. I came to Command as fast as i could. I HAD hoped for a chance to prove was more than just capable of overseeing loading of ships. I HAD hoped to show you im able to keep my cool and think quickly in battle. But you're unable to even thank me for tyring to help! Either treat me with respect of i will file as many complaints as it takes to get accross to starfleet that you are a Disshonerable P'ta."
Malachi smirked at the angry Klignon. "Finished?"
'Not yet, we need to go over some flaws I found in your tactical procedures, I believe we can make them much more efficient.' Ko'Vor replied.
"There is nothing wrong with my tactical procedures, they have been tested time and again by Starfleet Command on numerous occasions. Perhaps it is you that is flawed? Oh, and did I not ask you to go shower? Yes... I believe I did." Caspian smiled, it wasn't really a smile, more of grin. A grin of a succesful attack.
Even more insulted Ko'Vor put his hands out as if to strangle the captain. Then quickly retracting them he swiped a dagger out. He put it to his hand and cut into the skin between the fingers, holding his hand out again he said; "I have shed my blood for you. Next time it will be your blood that is shed."
Malachi watched as the Klingon stormed out of his office.
"Klingon melodrama..." Muttered Caspian.
He tapped his comm badge and put his next message over the entire A section of the Starbase.
"This is Captain Caspian, could I please get a Clean-up crew up to my office as soon as possible. I had a Klingon in here moments ago who could not control his fluid." He closed the comm link and stepped out on to Command where he could see the angry Klingon and the sblack personing officers.
"I believe I said shower." Caspian said to Ko'Vor who promptly stormed out of Command.
"Status report from all departments." Malachi said.
He leant over the station of a young looking Trill. "Report Ensign." He said, making her jump.
"There seems to be nothing wrong with the comms systems Sir. Apparantly our attackers did not want to knock out our comms."
"Of course not, they want this to make its way back to Starfleet. It's a fear attack." Malachi stated. "Have we heard anything from the transports with the senior crew?"
"Negative Sir, I fear for the worse." The Trill said.
"They were armed transports Ensign, I have every confidence in them and their pilots."
Malachi continued to make his rounds and couldn't help but feel a little proud at how his Starbase had fared upon its first battle. Considering they under-manned, Malachi was impressed indeed. However, he did know that this wouldn't be the last battle they faced and so improvements would need to be made.
"Did Commander Ko'Vor order Section B to return to normal and cancel Lock down?" Malachi asked, nobody in particular.
"Negative Sir." Came the response.
"What is wrong with that Klingon?" Caspian asked. "Very well, keep the Starbase on Yellow Alert but cancel Lock down and allow Section B to return to normal."
There were a few buttons pressed and the lighting changed.
"Who is organising the Maitenance teams?"
"Acting Ops Officer J'Ta." The Ensign Trill said.
"Very good."
"Captain Caspian, there is a transmission coming through from the Darkhawk."
"Put it through to my office Ensign." Malachi ordered. already halfway to his office. He sat down at his desk and punched in his security code. Kirk's face appeared on the screen.
"What do you want Kirk?" Caspian asked, being blunt as always.
"We cannot seem to locate our attackers. Through our database we have found information about the Metrons."
"You are just about worthless arn't you." Caspian interrupted.
"Captain, I do not really feel like getting into it with your right now. You need to realize there is a powerful race out here that could have destroyed us if they wanted."
Malachi smirked but remained quiet, waving his arm for the other Captain to continue.
"What we need from you if to do several deep scans to locate any civilizations in our sector. With any luck we can locate a race that has come across the Metrons and knows where their home world is. The Darkhawk is going to continue to patrol and do our own scans to try and locate their warp signatures."
"I am not retarded Captain. The scans are already in place and have been since our attackers fled. Three deep space probes will also be launched within the next five minutes. However, You do need to be congratulated on your speedy response on the Darkhawk, I have to say I was impressed. If thats all then, I have a Starbase to run."
"Thank you Captain." Kirk said and the comm channel closed.

Getting out of the shower Ko'Vor couldn’t believe how insulting the captain was. He was also confused to as why he had actually taken a shower. perhaps just to keep from another argument, or maybe just because it was relaxing. However after he had dried of and got changed he went back to the command centre. the captain was moaning about crew and in particular captain Kirk and himself. 'Sir' he said as he walked in.... somehow he thought there would be an end to that sentence but one didn’t come. Instead he decided to walk around reviewing everyone’s work and occasionally gave hints. all the while ignoring melachi who was watching him like a hawk as he walked around. 'something wrong with my actions captain?' the problem was there wasn’t anything wrong with what he was doing, he was acting as a normal first officer and acting within regulations. he was also doing a good job of it.. the captain opened his mouth and tried hard to think of something insulting to say, failing that he shut his mouth again and turned around to another officer. 'have we found out who attacked us yet captain? what measures are we now taking to ensure we don’t come under another assault?'

Captain's Log, Stardate 2392.0909
The Darkhawk has been out scanning looking for any break through traces of Thelaron in this system for the last 12 hours. So far all our best efforts have come up with nothing. I do not wish to contact Caspian right now and ask for his report; I know I will get nothing buy lip form him.
I am pretty close to calling off the search and heading back to the station. I found it hard to believe that the Metrons did not destroy us when they clearly had the chance. It just does not follow the pattern outlined in our records of them.
"Captain Kirk to the bridge." Commander Smith said with some urgency in his voice over the com system.
"On my way." Kirk replied.
End Log.
Kirk stepped onto the bridge wakling in at a brisk pace, "Report." He ordered as he sat down.
"We have recieved a Priority One message from the USS Razorback." Engisn Anderson reported.
"On screen."
The main view screen blinked from empty space to an image heavy with static. Kirk could barley see the Captain of the Razorback, and the audio fromthe ship was severly choppy.
"Captain Ki**, i*sgood to see you. We thought we **** going to make it."
"Captain Williams whats going on?" Kirk asked with a firm strong voice.
"The ***g sir. They attacked us and destroyed the constr****on si*e. I hailed the USS Lion H**rt and told them to evacuate. They are about *** hours away right now. We have take light damage and are approminatly one hour away."
"Sir I am losing the signal." Ensign Anderson reported.
"Captain, I need to know who did this?"
"T** ****."
"Who?" Kirk said sounding impatient.
"*** Borg sir."
The screen flashed back to open space. There was a deathly silence on the bridge as everybody knew what had happened to the two construction sites.
"I've lost the signal sir." Ensign Anderson said in a low voice.
Kirk sat back in his chair letting the new information sink in. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worst, Kirk thought.
"What are you orders Captain?" Commander Smith asked.
Kirk already knew what was going to have to happen and it would have to happen in this unproven ship. He got up form his chair and instantly started giving orders.
"Mr. Daya, decloak the ship and go to Red Alert. I want you to supervise all battle station preperations since the crew is new to this ship. I want everybody to know what they need to do. Hand out phasers and prepare Borg defensive shield modulation."
<Tag Daya>
"Ensign take us back to the station, maximun warp. Once we are in communication rang of the station open a channel of the Command Deck on the station. I would rather take to Commander Ko'Vor than to Caspian."
<Tag Ensign Anderson>
"Chief, I want you to head back down to engineering and make sure this ship is still in tip top shape. I do not want any surprises when the Borg attack."
<Tag Lt. Commander McLean>
"Number One I would like you to join Mr. Daya in our preperations. Report back here once your done."
<Tag Commander Smith>
Kirk watched as all his senior staff members went about their orders in a hurry. Kirk knew the Darkhawk was an hour away at maximum warp. He didn't want to get that far away from the station, but McLean's discovery of Thelaron changed Kirk's mind. Junior Officers came onto the bridge to man the stations the Senior staff members had left. Kirk was already proud of the way his crew was reacting to the situation.

The news of the borg attack on the Razorback and the Lion Heart had made Lorian worry. He knew that the borg commanded over half of this quadrant, but hopefully they wouldn't attacked us so soon. DSB was the only station left and they would need to return to it, before anything happened.
"Number One I would like you to join Mr. Daya in our preperations. Report back here once your done."
Lorian quickly got up from his chair and made his way towards the tatical station. Commander Daya had been known to be a good shot, but he needed to check if everything was correct. Seeing that everything was in order, Lorian made his way towards the turbolift. He would need to check out deflector control. In the battles with the borg, the USS Voyager reported that the deflector dish had saved thier lives countless of times.
"Deflector control" The turbolift hummed and he quickly was making his way towards Deck 5. Once he reached deflector control, he came to a flurry of activity. Everyone was working hard to get prepared for the upcoming battle. Lorian felt a sense of pride as he saw his crew work hard to get them ready.
"Commander what can I do for you?" a Lt. asked as he came up to Lorian.
"I just came here to make sure that everything was going well Lt." Lorian said. The Lt. walked Lorian to the main deflector control and showed him what they might have to do.
"Are we ready to blow it out?" Lorian asked seriously.
"We are, but we hope not to do that," the Lt. responded. Lorian seeing that everything was alright, headed towards sickbay. He didn't want to go, but it was something that he needed to do. There might be many casualties and injuries. He had to make sure the dotors were ready for this.
Doctor Temple and her team were very busy. They were preparing sickbay for the causalties. Lorian didn't want to distrub them so he quietly left sickbay.
"Commander, can I have a moment?" Morgan asked.
"Of course counsellor," Lorian said," What can I do you for?"
"I know that were going into battle with the borg and I feel compelled to make sure that everyone seeks counselling after the mission," Morgan said. Lorian smiled and said.
"Of course Ensign, but not me." Lorian hated talking to people about what he was thinking. Lorian left sickbay and headed back to wards the bridge.
Once he reached the bridge the Captain just looked up.
"Tactical, deflector control, and sickbay are ready sir."
