Gods below, thought Church. The two stared at each other for a while.
"All right, if I've got to have you tag along then let's go find those stupid gems..." Church started down the road, following the horsemen that had ridden past moments ago. McLean followed him closely, both too angry to say a word. Up until then Church hadn't been too put off by Q, but the omiscient entity had obviously found pairing the two officers amusing.
"Where are you going?" asked McLean finally.
Church didn't bother turning around to speak with him. "Several horses came this way before you showed up - you mihgt have heard them. Wherever they were going, that's where we're going, too."
"Who died and made you Captain?"
Church spun around and grabbed a fistful of McLean's shirt. "Q never specified that our partners had to be alive when we reached our objective. So either shut up and follow me or hurry up and get yourself killed. Either would be better than your present state."
McLean shoved Church away. "If you touch me again, I swear I'll-"
"Quiet!" hissed Church, looking back down the road the way they had come. He listened, then said, "More horses. Get out of sight."
Ignoring McLean, Church scrambled up the nearest tree, finding a branch about ten feet in the air and hidden from the view of the oncoming horsemen. He risked a glance around the tree and saw two... three horses. Each had a rider, but only one appeared to be heavily armoured. Church would take one of the less armoured ones first - the armoured one would be too slow with all of that metal on him.
When the trotted by, Church dived at the closest horseman. He knocked the man - a boy, really - off. The other two immediately turned around, but Church had already found a knife the boy had been carrying and had it to its owner's throat.
"Drop your weapons!" snarled Church. The armoured horseman held a long sword, while the elderly man on the other horse had a shortsword out. Both hesitated, but did not drop their weapons. "Now!"
"I am Sir P-"
"I don't give a flying f***. I'll slit his thr-"
"A mere peasant such as thou dares to threaten one such as I?" roared the man in armour. "I will run you down and avenge-"
Church thrust the boy away and threw the knife, hitting the armoured man right between the eyes. The metal had gotten in the way, though, and the knife had not hit the man's brain. He screamed, dropping his sword and trying to pull the dagger out. The elderly man rushed at Church, but the marine rolled out of the way and picked up the armoured man's sword. He cut the elderly man down first, then pulled the armoured man off his horse and finished him off. The boy had fled.
"I got him," muttered a voice to Church's left. He turned and saw McLean, holding the struggling boy. Church stepped forward to kill the boy, but McLean growled at him. "You can't kill him in cold blood!"
Church rolled his eyes. "If I don't kill him, he'll tell others about us. How many of us are down here, McLean? Is that boy's life worth more than all of ours?"
"You don't know what games Q plays!" shouted McLean. "For all we know this boy could grow up to be a king!"
"If we're dead, that won't matter."
"You aren't going to kill him," said McLean, not leaving the subject open for debate. "We'll have him be our guide, if that's all right with the honorable Captain Church."
Church scowled and picked up the discarded dagger. Then he got on the horse the armoured man had occupied. "Get on one of these brutes and let's finish this little scenario."
Muttering, McLean put the boy back on his horse and got on another one himself.
"You try and give us the slip and I'll find a painful death for you," Church said to the boy. In response, the boy turned pale and nodded. Church turned back to McLean. "Ready?"
"I don't need you looking out for me," sneered McLean, kicking the horse to start it. The boy followed, and Church brought up the rear.

"Ensign, I think it's time for us to get out of here," Lorian said," its time to go find our crew mates."
Katie just nodded her head in response. She really didn't know what to say. Katie found the walk almost pleasant. The sounds of the forest reminded her of her home town back on Earth. It wasn't long before Commander Smith and Katie found their way to a near by village.
"I am Lorian, and this is Katie, we are strangers in your land," Lorian said hoping not to scare the people even more.
"From what land do you come from, your clothes is strange to us?" he asked.
"A far and distant land." Katie replied.
"You allow your women to speak for you!" Liers mocked," your people must be weak."
Katie was about to reply when Commander Smith quickly answered the pushy ignorant man.
"She is not my women, she is a friend and women are treated as equals in my land," Lorian said hoping to stop the escalation.
"What do you want with us?" Liers asked.
"We'd like directions," Lorian said," towards the castle."
"What business do you have at the castle?" Liers asked.
"That is for me to know," Lorian responded," could you give me directions and maybe a couple of horses."
"What do you have to offer us?" Liers asked looking at Katie. Lorian instinctualy moved to block Katie from his view.
"Pig." Katie said from behind Commander Smith.
It was several moments of back and forth talking before the villager agreed to hep them in exchange for their uniforms. Katie wasn't really looking forward to giving up her uniform but it seemed the only way they were going to get any help in this strange land.
"I think we should remove our communication badges." Katie suggested.
"Good thinking." Commander Smith replied.
The village erupted in laughter, all pointing at Katie. Lorian quickly realized why they were doing so, the pants that she had chosen must of been those of a child. She of course did not care and kept her head held up high.
"You are really far from your land stranger, but I deal is a deal," Lier said," there is your horse and this a map."
"Thank you," Lorian said taking the map.
"Katie are you ready to leave?" Lorian asked knowing that if they started soon they would have a couple of hours to search for there friends.
"More than you know sir." Katie replied.

"psst" Daya whispered towards the unconcius man, "hey, wake up" Daya said, trying to kick sand at him. "Commander" Kirk said in an annoyed voice.
Daya went back to his antics of trying to wake up the man, until the man started moving, groaning painfully.
"Hey, hes awake" Daya said as the man rolled over to his stomach. "Kirk, try to get that bag off his head" Kirk looked up at Daya with his eyes raised, Then went over to the man's side and removed the bag.
his short blonde hair was matted down with sweat, and his blue eyes thankfully looked over at Kirk. "Thank you friend" the man said in his young voice. "Who are you" he asked, looking at Daya and Kirk "i know everyone in this land, and you are not from here"
"No, we are not. We are explorers from a distant land, we were sent here by an evil man who used his magic to send us here." Daya said before Kirk could get a word in.
"My name is Daya, this is my friend Jonathan"
"My name is Richard, Prince Richard of England"
"Well met Richard" Kirk said, putting his shackled hand out to shake. Meanwhile Daya stood against the wall. "i dont suppose you can get me off this wall can you?" Daya said, looking at the two.
"Didnt think so"

Church and McClean, with their prisoner soon found themselves back at the town where the entire adventure started, when they arrived they saw Lorian and Katie coming from the opposite direction. Together they stayed at the town to try to figure out what they should do. They told the town folks about the three crystals, the girl Lorian met earlier, who had taken a likeing to him, told them she knows where one of them are, the others she didnt know.
The crystal was in a graveyard, around the neck of a dead king, who coincidently has been risen by a necromancer, so the group must journey to the graveyard and battle a legion of dead knights.
OOC ok, now you guys can input whatever you fell like, but leave the other two crystals to me

The three of them reached a small village, it seemed that every village in this weird world of Q's looked the same. Walking down what appeared to be the main street McLean noticed two people who looked more than familiar.
"Isn't that Smith?" McLean asked outloud.
"Yes." Church replied.
"I wasn't asking you." McLean fired back.
"Then don't say anything next time." Church replied.
Walking up to Smith and Anderson McLean couldn't help himself but smile at the look of the two officers. It seemed that something had happened to their uniforms.
"What happened to your uniforms?" McLean asked just as soon as they came with in speaking distance.

The dungeon was dark, cold and worst of all it smelled of death. Kirk found himself wondering how much force it would take to pull the chains from the stone walls. The Borg side of him began to calculate everything thought he was making. His human side took a second to look around and figure out that if he could indeed free himself from the wall there was not much else he could do but walk around the cramped room.
"What might that be on your face?" Richard asked looking up at Kirk.
Looking back at Daya, Kirk really did not know how to answer the man. He knew that he would not understand who and what the Borg were and not only that he would not understand what computers were.
"That is the mark of a man who is part wizard." Daya blurted out.
Kirk shot Daya a quick look of confusion, it seemed of all the ways to respond to his question Daya had to pick the most outrageous answer.
"I'm honored to be in your presence your greatness." Richard replied, "Perhaps when we get out of this place you might join my kingdom."
"Perhaps." Kirk replied still in shock of Daya's words.

Richard replied, "Perhaps when we get out of this place you might join my kingdom." "Perhaps." Kirk replied still in shock of Daya's words. "what?" Daya whispered as Kirk stared at him. while the three were talking, the door at the top suddenly burst open once again, as the mountain man came strolling down the stairs, Richard glared at him and Daya and Kirk both looked concered. The man walked down to where Daya and Kirk were standing, and sitting, and stood for amoment with his hands on his hips. "who are you?" The man asked in a deep rough voice. "They are wizards, and if you dont let us go, they will turn you into a newt" Richard blurted out before either of them could answer. "Shut upo!" the man said kicking into Richard's side, knocking the wind out of him. Daya tried to rush at the man, but the chains held him firmly against the wall. "You bastard" He yelled out, then something caught his eye, and he stopped struggling, a sly smile on his face. "Why dont you pick on someone who has more fight in him?" he asked mockingly. "Why you slime" Mountain said, through gritted teeth. with a howl he rushed at Daya and punched into his stomach, Daya head slumped into the mans chest and his breathing slowed, coming in weezing gasps. "i'll deal with you later" he said, grabbing a hold of Daya's hair, yanking up to stare into his eyes. With a sickening crack, the man slammed Daya's head upwards into the wall, knocking him head around like a ping pong ball. Taking his keys, he unlocked Daya's chains and let him fall to the ground, then clasped wrist and ankle shackles to him. Laughing victourisouly, the mountain man walked away and left the dungeon. Kirk and Richard crawled over to Daya's side and did the best they could at wrapping his bleeding head. ~~~~ OOC since i was told Ko'Vor wanted to take part in a "real" mission, i decided to add him into this one. IC Ko'Vor looked around, the bright sunlight shining down at him, with a crowd in a stadium cheering, pointing towards the far end of the stadium. Confused the klingon looked towards that end, and was surprised to see a rather large human rushing at him, clad only in a pair of pants and wearing a helmet, he swung a huge sword down at Ko'vor, who jumped to the side. THe human continued to attack Ko'vor to the applause of the crowd. OOC ok pal, go for it

Dazed Ko'Vor looked around.... "what the Hell is going on" he wondered. Looking around again he noticed the man charging at him once more. Ko'Vor looked disapprovingly at the man and just hit him out of the way.
Tapping his chest he realised his comm. badge had gone. he also noticed he was unarmed, and not even in his uniform, but in a small towel that covered only the necessary bits.
Ko'Vor felt exposed, unlike a warrior should feel. The man on the floor shook his head and sprang back up to take another swing at Ko'Vor. Grabbing the mans arm Ko'Vor swiftly broke it and then sent the human flying across the stadium. "No more time for games... what’s going on?" he said.
The man who was laying on the floor a few meters away quivering suddenly disappeared and re-emerged as someone Ko'Vor had heard of in the past.... "Q" he muttered. "What am i doing here you Gah Tuk?"
"now now Klingon dog, calm yourself you ravaged beast! i thought you might like a little exercise... its certainly a nice day for it."
"Exercise? you have got me fighting humans. why?"
"Oh, come now. you love a little action don’t you? just enjoy it!"
Ko'vor took a run at Q to knock him down, but just before he reached him Q flashed into nothingness and re-appeared behind him. now that’s more like it! ON WITH THE GAMES!" he called to the audience who all cheered loudly.
Around Ko'Vor came 3 lions, all looking half starved. "Q, Q what is going on!" Ko'Vor said as the lions growled.
"Oh common Dog, there just Kittens really. and if you pass this i might allow you to go back to your ship... oh, but first there are some other people around the area you may know too... I’m sure they would like a hand, i have quite a lot in store for them still too"
Q vanished and Ko'Vor was confused. "Who else has he bought here!?" but he didn’t have time to think, he had to fend of 3 very hungry, very vicious lions who looked like they wanted lunch....

It seemed as Lorian and Katie had been riding on horseback for hours, but he of course knew that it was only a couple of minutes. Lorian cursed himself for not paying more attention to his father's horseback lessons.
Though his mood was up lifted when he saw another village in the distance.
"Ensign it seems that we might find better clothing down there," Lorian said pointing to the little village.
<Tag Katie>
It only took them a few minutes to reach the village, but the first thing that Lorian noticed were two familiar faces. McLean and church.
"What happened to your uniforms?" McLean asked.
"Let's say that we met some very greedy people," Lorian smirked as he let Katie get off the horse first, and then he quickly dismounted." And what have you two been doing?"
<Tag Church/McLean>
Even though Lorian knew that these two members of his crew had never really repaired their relationship, he was very proud that they had not steeped down to the levels of schoolchildren.
"Does anyone have a plan as to what we are going to do?" Lorian asked securing the horse and then facing his crew.

Fending off the last lion Ko'Vor stood to a booing crowd. They seemed to want him to stop fighting!
The person in the royal stand was hard to make out. but the sign wasn’t. he put his thumb down, Ko'Vor didn’t think this meant "you can go free"
From the cages around him came many guards, surrounding him with spears. they started closing in on him spears pointed at his chest. "Q" Ko'Vor shouted. but he got no answer.
Would Q really let him die if he failed to fend off the guards. "Q?" Ko'Vor repeated. But still no answer. The guards looked unwilling to back down. Swinging his arm quickly he disarmed one of the gaurds, then using his weapon against him he stabbed him in the chest. The other guards charged. Ko'Vor hit away the spears with his and kicked off the ones that got too close, Swinging frantically as he tryed to gain ground.
Soon he had the guards fleeing, they couldn’t stand up to a fully trained, adrenaline rushed klingon.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH" Ko'Vor shouted in a fierce frenzy, the audience cheered. maybe he had won them over? But he hadn’t realised what was behind him... the next round...
...from the sidelines emerged 3 chariots, all with rotating spikes, swords and many other weapons that were being pulled along by a horse. on the chariots were gladiators. But they had odd head ridges, there eyes also seemed strange, they glowed. "what the hell are these things?"
"a little demon from your past Commander." a voice replied.
all of a sudden it became clear. they were a species annihilated by the klingons hundreds of years ago. they evolved in the same way as klingons, had the same fighting lust and they attempted to invade Qro'nos.. leading to a bloody war.
the chariots came closer. Ko'Vor raised his spear only to see it disappear in light as he went to use it. Q was making this difficult.....

Listening to how both Smith and Anderson had traded out their uniforms for what they were wearing and a single horse brought a smile to the engineers face. It wasn't everyday that he was able to get a kick out of a bad situation, and he hoped his amusement of their situation wasn't going to bring about problems.
"And what have you two been doing?" Smith asked.
McLean and Church both grumbled something before looking off in opposite directions. It was clear to the group that nothing had really gone on besides the uncomfortable feeling of being around each other.
"So it appears we must do battle with the undead?" McLean asked sounding skeptical as he tried to change the subject.
"It' Q who is behind this," Smith replied, "So anything is possible."
"Great," McLean said clearly not happy with the situation, "What are we going to do about weapons?"

The chariots grazed his leg, leaving a large gash where Ko'Vor couldn’t jump out of the way in time. He was bleeding now... Blood fever would take effect soon, then he can be practically dead and still be a killing machine. Few Klingons still possessed such a beserking ability, but Ko'Vor did, and he felt a swelling of hate and anger build inside him.
The chariots came about, the enemy riding them was smiling. Angering Ko'Vor. He leaped up into the sky and landed on the chariot, without a second thought he slaughtered the rider who was then flung aside like a discarded tissue. Using the chariot he moved it around to face the other two, and charged. They circled him and threw spears at him.
Ko'vor jerked the horses to the side and managed to slice up the horse leading one of the other carts. bringing it to a stop. Ko'Vor jumped off, ignoring his leg, and slayed the other rider who was trying to get out of the upturned chariot.
Mounting his captured chariot again Ko'Vor got it out of the way just in time of a charge from the other remaining cart.
Picking up a spear he took a jousting position, and charging at the enemy pierced his body with his spear. Throwing the spear and body to the side Ko'Vor awaited Q's next "game"...

Ko'Vor waited.... Maybe the next test was to see how long he WOULD wait... because so far nothing came. The audience seemed not to notice that time was passing. Ko'Vor kicked some sand around for a while to keep him occupied. But even that seemed to drift across the ground rather than fall. A small wind had picked up.
Ko'Vor looked around becoming restless. Then he decided to re-gain some strength whilst able, and sat down and attempted to tend to his leg. Using spit and sand he blocked the hole... but this was now very liable to infection.
Whilst sitting Ko'Vor noticed something a little further forward. poking out of the ground. it must have been disturbed whilst fighting. he went across to it, and he noticed there was an odd pattern inscribed into a stone. It looked like one of the elements, in this case, Fire. Gazing across the rest of the stadium he didn’t see any more around. Perhaps it was important, or perhaps not. Ko'Vor picked it up and as soon as he had the gate at the end of the stadium opened.
"Tasks, complete. but now the main one still lies ahead. your friends are also facing "tasks" and i think you ought to get to them as quickly as you can before i....raise the stakes."/color] A voice echoed across the room. Ko'Vor didn’t question it and left whilst he could. He noticed he was in a large town, and a map nearby showed many smaller villages across the land. "they could be anywhere...." Ko'Vor thought. but first was to look in the larger town, they could be anywhere, but if here it would make things easier.

Church shrugged. "I've got mine," he said, indicating the sword. "I'm sure that kid's got an idea where we could find something else."
Their prisoner glared, but didn't say anything.
"Maybe you should have treated him like a friend. He never did anything to you," growled McLean.
"I'm so terribly sorry I killed his companions. But think- this is Q's scenario. Its just as likely these people will cease to exist once we leave this place."
"But two of us won't leave," said Lorian. "And what's this about you killing people?"
"Q's never showed signs of tampering with time," said Church, ignoring Lorian's question. "Why should he now?"

Katie watched the two officer's heated conversation. She thought it was going to end in the typical male way with a fight so she found herself taking a couple steps away from the group.
Looking at the young boy Katie noticed that he showed no signs of fear and that he stood with pride. This was something Katie had never seen before and probably never again. Walking behind the group Katie approached the young man.
"What's your name?" Katie asked.
"I am Pr...Patrick of the North Lands." He stated pride.
Katie looked up at the group and noticed they were not watching her so she thought she would take this time to gather any information from the young man.
"Your a Prince?" Katie whispered.
She didn't get a response from Patrick this time.
"We're from a far away land and are trying to get home. I don't know what these two men have done to you but I promise nothing is going to happen to you. We need your help finding this graveyard."
"Nobody has ever come back from those lands alive."
"So you know where it is?" Katie asked.
"That I do."
"Can you tell us?" Katie asked.
"No."
"I want to get home and to get home we are supposed to find these stones." Katie said.
"You are charged with a quest?"
"Yes we are and if we don't find these stones we will be stuck here forever." Katie said.
"Tis not a bad place to be stuck."
"It's not home though. I want to go home." Katie said.
Katie watched as Patrick seemed to stop and think about the situation. His eyes met hers and she could see the determination in his eyes.
"As a man of the North Lands I wouldn't be a man if I didn't help such a lady with her quest."
"So you will tell us where to go?" Katie asked.
"I will do more than that. I am Prince Patrick of the North Lands and my castle is not far from here. I will show you the way so you may rest and be given weapons and armor for your coming battle. Come."

"Q's never showed signs of tampering with time," said Church, ignoring Lorian's question. "Why should he now?"
"Because Q is a crasy son of a...." Lorian said, but was cut off by Enisgn Anderson. She was clearly pointing out that there was a kid in there presence. Lorian felt irritated at this fact, but continued talking to Church and McLean who would never get over there differences.
Whatever the two were saying, Lorian was not paying attention. He was more inclined to hear what Anderson was saying to the kid. It seemed that his name was Patrick and that he might help them after all.
"Church, McLean shut up!" Lorian said irriated," we need to get to that stupid castle and find those stones. If we are lucky we find Daya and the Admiral."
"You, Patrick, can you please help us?" Lorian asked looking at the kid in the eyes for the first time.
